The arcade version is the neo geo version of the game which you either play through mame (you need to find the mame rom)

 

Or through neo-geo emulators such as neorage. Check out emuasylum.com for the rom.

Just curious but does anyone know of a good RPG ROM site. I used to go to www.thisisnotapornsite.com/rpgclassics but it's gone.

 

I'd really like to add to my old SNES & Master System files.

I did a find a really good site a couple of months back, it ha dRPG roms for every old system and also had patches for them too, but I cant seem to find it anymore. It might be the site you mentioned.

 

Does anyone know any good Snes RPG sites? Patches included.

 

Also does anyone know any rom sites which have snes nintendo roms? (Like Mario, Kirby etc) Most of the big rom sites have taken down all their Nintendo trademark roms in fear of lawsuits.

I just learnt the art of hard patching snes roms...I'm so happy!

What is hard patching?

There are two types of patching (where using an additional file called a patch you can translate the rom in question) : Soft patching and hard patching.

 

Soft patching is where the both the rom and the patch are used and both are left unnafected. The only emulator that can do this is Znes which I hate.

 

Hard patching is where the ROM is permanently changed by applying the patch, which means it can be used on other snes emulators such as Snes9x

Now I have a shit load of roms, but I can't make the emulator read them.

I have literally tried everything(I think). Anybody have a clue?

what emulator? if it is MAME then the roms and emulator must be from the same set, for example the emulator must be MAME 32 v.071 and the roms should also be v.071.

 

Generally you can keep roms in zip form, but if it is in rar or ace format then it must be uncompress.
