Wesly Clark to quit campaign...

Recommended Posts

Neither does anything you post.

How cute, you can't actually respond to something so you post something like that.

Don't be an idiot.

Once again...how cute.

No, I'm just so sick of Republicans coming up with randomly stupid comments about Democrat issues that they have no clue about.

How many times has the "HILARY IS RUNNING IN 2004, JUST WAIT!" rumor surfaced? And how many times has she said "No, I'm not running" and you guys discounted it like so:

That means nothing.

Edwards has firmly and repeatedly stated that he's not going to accept a VP nod, but you and several others on the boards have used shit pulled out of your ass to back up an assertion that he's just DUPING us all and he's really running for the VP nod.

Uh, okay. Whatever.

All right, time to break out a Basic Political Science Textbook here.

Tyler,

IF YOU'RE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, YOU WILL NEVER ADMIT TO CONSIDERING THE POSSIBILITY OF BEING A VP NOMINEE.

I thought that was basic common sense there.

...

Way to ignore the entire breadth of my five posts in this topic, moron.

I suppose if somebody would know what a moron is, that somebody would be you.

Your entire string of posts are based on the asinine assumption that a PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE MIGHT PUBLICLY ADMIT THAT THEY WOULD SETTLE FOR A VP NOMINATION.

I did you a favor in "ignoring" most of the "substance" or your "argument". For a poli.sci major, your grasp on politics is astonishingly weak.

For a human being, you're a surprisingly vapid moron.

I wrote several posts on why it would be stupid for Edwards to accept the VP nomination, and this was, in fact, affirmed by his many denials that he'd accept a VP nomination. Of course one wouldn't want to be like "Yeah, gee, sure, I'd love to be the VP!!!!!!" while they're running for President, but he has -- many times, even -- flat out stated that he has absolutely no interest in the Vice Presidential nomination. Kerry, Dean, and other nominees (the lesser ones matter less, but when Graham was in the race, he didn't either) haven't said anything like what Clark or Edwards have insisted.

Edwards isn't going to leave the Senate if he loses. That would be utterly stupid, considering what he would add (which is marginal at best, considering there are just as many solid geographical nominees who don't happen to be in the Senate) to the ticket.

Ooooh. BURN! Tyler is pulling out his flaming boots for this thread. Stiletto heels, I'd imagine.

BECAUSE HE'S RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. Jesus, is it THAT hard to fathom? Do you hear Olympic sprinters striving their hardest to win silver? You don't hear Miss America contestants preparing for their run as first runner up.

Kerry could desperately use Edwards to ward off the image that Kerry might, in fact, be dead.

Kerry, Dean, and other nominees (the lesser ones matter less, but when Graham was in the race, he didn't either) haven't said anything like what Clark or Edwards have insisted.

They haven't been asked, either. But, hey, your train of thought derailed long ago.

Edwards isn't going to leave the Senate if he loses.  That would be utterly stupid, considering what he would add (which is marginal at best, considering there are just as many solid geographical nominees who don't happen to be in the Senate) to the ticket.

Edwards won't make much of a difference in the Senate.

If Dean is the nominee,

BWAHAHAHAHAH

or even Dean (who has said he'll accept a VP nod

BWAHAHAHAHAH

Didn't you support JoeMentum?

Yes, I supported him but never asserted he'd win nor suggested he had the possibility of being the nominee after abysmal showings in about every state he's run or chosen as the VP nominee after his publicly embarassing displays. I'm talking about Dean by the way...

Except, of course, that he IS a Democrat, and they're trying to like, WIN BACK the Senate. And, after all, taking a Democrat away from the Senate will... well... take one of those away.

Jesus, I thought you were a polysci scholar.

The Dems have no prayer of winning the Senate. None whatsoever. If they manage to avoid giving the GOP a cloture-sure majority, they should view themselves as lucky.

Keeping Edwards in the Senate won't give them the Senate. But, hey, you're the one tanking poli sci presently (and, if you're not, then your profs are REAL weak in the area).
