Guest dvkorn Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Kanyon in TNA is a good thing... He can work and he is entertaining... Not bringing him in because he is a cast off is a stupid arguement like many above have said... if he is talented then give him the opportunity to get over and become a player... But if he's brought in as a ME immediately, they have a problem. It would look bad. -=Mike That's kinda true... If they brought him in like Raven... who comes out and attacks the champ or another high profile person like Raven... but they don't have a match for a couple of months and they build him during that time... They did it similar with Raven... before TNA he was last seen jobbing to JEff Hardy for a Rumble spot then he came ot TNA and made his intentions known... he got built up to the title matc with Jarrett... Something like that would be alright... i think... making his intentions know when hje arrives and then building him to the point where he is Main Eventing... Thing is, Kanyon hasn't been in the ME in any promotion. He certainly wasn't in WCW. He wasn't even CLOSE in WWF/E (though I did love his "Alliance MVP" thing while serving as US and Tag Champ). Having a guy who couldn't ME anywhere immediately ME in your promotion is just bad business. Though, reading his statement, he might not wrestle period. -=Mike
The Ghost of bps21 0 Report post Posted February 12, 2004 Kanyon is at least a step behind D-Lo..but still above what they had with Crash Holly (who even they realized they couldn't put over anyone).
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted February 12, 2004 I think it's obvious Kanyon isn't going to have serious Main Event feuds. Maybe the Main Eventers lacky who gets his ass kicked every week, but they won't put him over Styles or Raven clean considering he's nothing more than a mid-carder. Which reminds me, who has been a regular main eventer in TNA since the promotion started? Raven, A.J. Styles (on-and-off), Jeff Jarrett of course, Ron Killings until he lost the title, Ken Shamrock when he was around, maybe Scott Hall.
