Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2004 The three-way is going to be on last, with Brock/Berg second to last, and Eddy/Angle third to last (followed by Taker/Kane and then Show/Cena). No way Triple H is going to give up a main event spot again.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 14, 2004 WWE seems to like to space it out... I'm expecting Show/Cena to be EARLY (as in like the 5th match of a 11 card match)... Taking the matches we already know of or are strongly expected Angle/Eddy, Brock/Berg, Taker/Kane, Three Way,Orton/Foley Show/Cena, Jericho/X and adding these other 4 matches I think will be added Booker and RVD Vs Flair Batisita, CW Elimination, Woman's Title, WWE Tag Titles (likely a 4 Way of some sorts) Which makes it a 11 Card Event. I will make it this order CW Elimination Battle Royal Booker/RVD Vs Flairtistia Jericho/Christian WWE Tag Title Match 4 Way(WGTT/Rhyno and A-Train/Bashams/APA) Randy Orton Vs Mick Foley John Cena Vs The Big Show ***Half-time performence*** Undertaker Vs Kane Eddy Guerrero Vs Kurt Angle Woman's Title Match(to rest the crowd for 'Berg/Brock after a likely long emotional WWE Title Match) Brock Lesnar Vs Goldberg Three Way Dance I know some might have problems with the woman's title match getting a "higher" slot but let's face it...Owen/Skinner got higher slot then Flair/Savage for trying out loud...i don't think it would be THAT bad. Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 14, 2004 What does a cruiserweight battle royal accomplish? It's an ELIMINATION Match actaully, rumored to be either 8 men or 10 men (which indicates, Mysterio, Tajiri, Knoble, Chavo, Kidman, London, Nunzio, Akio, Dragon and Moore) and Vince must believe that will give them better exposure then a Normal Singles match would, I actually think putting EIGHT CW's in one match is better then a generic 8 minute Mysterio/Random CW match will be. Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Won't there likely be two women's matches? One fluff match...Stacy/Miss Jackie vs Sable/Tori. Than one legit match.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Yeah, if forgot about that...If we're lucky...It'll be a quickie 4 minute fluff segment like last year... If CENA was forced to do his rap off on HEAT last year...They should just give this match that treatment... Here's a question...What will the Woman's title match be? Molly has been the champion for about 6 months now it seems and it MIGHT just be the longest fighting reign of all time, they ought to build that up...have her go into Mania with a "Unbeatable" sell and face Victoria in a LAST CHANCE match. I'd say Trish but I have a feeling she'll be busy with the She's All That Angle and Likely will play a part in the match itself or at least Play Liz to Jericho's Savage. Guest Brian Report post Posted February 14, 2004 I doubt it. The clusterfock of a build-up, the clusterfuckof a match. A lot more good can be done with a simple build-up to a singles match featuring two guys, and then building around those two rather than highlighting a couple guys in an eight-man match. This is something that works out better on television at this point, unless you have four or five guys at the foundation of the division already. And really, no on has the credibility, character, and exposure to really pull that off other than Rey.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted February 14, 2004 I'd Tajiri is a debatable person to include as well, as he has been able to secure an identity with the crowd... Don't get me wrong, I'd MUCH rather prefer Mysterio/Tajiri getting 10-15 minutes then watching 7 minutes of quickie botched spots and a 3 minute grounded match with Mysterio and whoever Heel they put in last with him. Guest Brian Report post Posted February 14, 2004 But Tajiri's record is pretty tarnished. Mysterio has some scuffs, but for the most part he's in as good of a position as any cruiser in the WWE has been.

This years Mania is fucking STACKED though, and I'm hoping it surpasses X7 as the best ever.

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted February 14, 2004 Angle/Lesnar wasn't going to do any better. Really? Now, how can you be so sure? Are you PSYCHIC~!? I guarantee you that the two fifty year old men getting 35 minutes of TV time and hype a week and being sold as the match at Mania wasn't attracting the casual viewer. Hell, up until both Austin and Angle's necks were officially declared wastelands, Hogan/Vince was the ME.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2004 Hell, up until both Austin and Angle's necks were officially declared wastelands, Hogan/Vince was the ME. Why would Angle's neck being injured be considered part of the reason he got the ME slot? I know you have a reason, I'm just wondering what it is.
Austin3164life 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2004 Angle didn't know if he could wrestle at WM XIX. His doctor allowed one more match before his surgery, and Angle picked the WM main event to job the title to Lesnar. Austin wanted to come back full-time, seeing as he hit the gym and bulked up, however his doctor was telling him that his fusion surgery and all of the bumps he took has caused his neck to be permanently fragile, so he could not wrestle full-time ever again. Austin thus wanted to use his retirement match in putting over The Rock clean at WM XIX.
SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted February 15, 2004 Yeah, I remember now. Angle was supposed to drop the title to Lesnar on Smackdown, and then have Benoit face Brock at WMXIX. I also remember rumors that they scrapped plans for Rock/Austin/Triple H, except no one wanted to job to HHH. I wondered if there was any truth to them.
