Guest JacK Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Ok, I just did 'The Exchange' . . . and is it just me or is that a terrible ending? I mean, did he shoot Maria? And also, whats the deal with Love's dissapearance? Did I miss something? I want to know what was in the god damn box! I need closure damnit!
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 18, 2004 That was the greatest ending to a video game! I still remember when me and my friend beat the game for the first time. Our jaws just dropped. We stayed like that for a second or two, looked at each other... and marked the fuck out.
Guest wrestlingbs Report post Posted February 18, 2004 I, too, loved the ending. Showed what a badass "the guy" really is. As for Love, there isn't an answer to what happened to him. They left that open so it could be answered in a future GTA game.
Damaramu 0 Report post Posted February 18, 2004 Well I loved the ending. She told him he was small time and by the end he was big time.

DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Personally, this is what I think the ending will lead to. "The Guy" didn't shoot Maria. There was a Colombian dude trying to sneak up on him and Maria and he had to cap him. Maria convinces the Guy to leave Liberty City and go to San Andreas to try and get away from the gangs that want to kill them. It's the perfect set up for the next GTA. caboose 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 I actually agree with JacK. I didn't like the 'Maria gets shot' ending, even if it was meant to be a joke. Thats why I edited the credits mp3 to switch to Faith No More's 'Epic' before the gun shot is heard.
Guest JacK Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Now that I think about it, explaining the whole Donald Love thing in another game makes a bit of sense . . . I guess. But I'm glad someone agree's with me. After that ending I don't really want to do everything else I have left; since I hate those 3 offroad missions so much. On to Vice City I guess, but hopefully it won't have an ending that bad.
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 19, 2004 GTA 3 > Vice City IMO
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 The ending was decient, although the last mission was a little too easy
caboose 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 GTA 3 > Vice City IMO I concur. Vice City was too stylised.
Guest EQ Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Yeah. And I just enjoy driving around and doing stupid shit more in GTA3
DangerousDamon 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 GTA 3 had that "Holy Shit did I just do that?!" factor. Vice City had the "eh, i just ran over someone" factor. When the next GTA comes out, I hope they add something to it that just gives it that feeling I got from playing GTA3.
Spicy McHaggis 0 Report post Posted February 19, 2004 Spoilers.... My Vice City ending was intense because my life meter hit 0 but my killing of the dude registered first. The screen went blank... just as I thought I would have to do it over, the final cutscene came up.
