Hurricane hits a wicked chop that echoes through the building. The Hurricane misses a clothesline...and takes out the referee by mistake. Shining Wizard on Eddy, Hurricane really laid that one in. Pinfall attempt, but the ref is conveniently laid out. Eddy blocks a kick from The Hurricane. Spin kick by Eddy Guerrero to the face. Eddy crushes Hurricane with a running senton. There's a two count on the pin. Shining Wizard on Hurricane, Eddy really laid that one in. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Eddy Guerrero gets taken down out of nowhere. Springboard reverse elbow by The Hurricane. Excellent move. Pin : 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Eddy counters an avalanche with a raised foot to the face. Eddy Guerrero has been left down on the canvas. A ****1\4 rating, great bout. Paul Heyman is backstage with Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman wanted to rip into Rob Van Dam. I'm feeling some serious negative energy in the segment. Brock Lesnar vs Rob Van Dam : Brock Lesnar hits some punches. RVD gets slammed. Lesnar hits a right hand. Cover for a two count. Rude Awakening on Rob Van Dam by Lesnar. Hooks the leg for a two count. Brock Lesnar gets taken down out of nowhere. Rob Van Dam fires off some right and left hands. Cover for a two count. Rob Van Dam hits a bulldog off the ropes. Lesnar blocks the suplex attempt. Powerbomb on RVD. Brock Lesnar moves in for the kill. F5! 1....2....3. Brock Lesnar slides to the outside and grabs a chair, then climbs back into the ring. RVD turns around...and gets planted with a huge chair shot to the head! He is left down and out on the canvas. I'll give this a ***1\4 rating. Lance Storm is standing backstage when The Big Show attacks from behind and floors him. Show goes to continue the attack, but Dawn Marie moves between them, blocking his path. He hesitates, then pushes her out of the way, sending her into the wall. Lance Storm comes back though, and sends him running after a few punches. He goes over and checks on Dawn Marie, who is shaken, but not badly hurt. Edge vs Kurt Angle : Stiff chop lights up Angle. Standing leg lariat by Edge on Angle. Edge uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Hardback suplex on Angle. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Kurt Angle pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Edge gets caught with a short powerbomb from Angle. Edge walks into a stiff sit-out jawbreaker. Hooks the leg for a two count. Kurt Angle misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Angle takes a hurrancarana from Edge. Cover for a two count. Death valley driver by Edge, Kurt Angle got planted. Cover, but there's a last second kick-out. Angle reverses a Edge hammerlock. Belly to belly suplex by Angle. Edge powers out of a Kurt Angle headlock. Running knee lift from Edge. The Big Show just slid into the ring out of nowhere! Show drops Edge and Angle with punches, causing the referee to call for the bell. I think this match has been ruled a no contest. The crowd are baffled by the actions of The Big Show, and who he has attacked. The Big Show has grabbed a chair. Edge walks over...and gets floored with a hard shot. Angle also takes a hard shot. Show has laid everybody out! Almost wandered into *** match territory, but there was too much that dragged it down so it only gets a **3\4 rating. Ultimo Dragon and Tajiri are in the ring waiting to start their match. Out from the back come all the members of Canadian Mafia, who invade the ring. They attack both wrestlers, leaving them both down and out in the ring. Canadian Mafia leave via the crowd, having ended the match before it even began. Tajiri and Ultimo Dragon vs Canadian Chrises : Jericho hits a dropkick on Tajiri. Lightning kick by Jericho on Tajiri. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag between Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit. Canadian Chrises hook up Tajiri, then hit a double suplex. Gut buster, Tajiri hits hard. Cover for a two count. Tajiri takes a back suplex. Tajiri takes the advantage after a i-block-your-punch-you-don't-block-mine routine. DDT from the top rope by Tajiri. That looked brutal. Tajiri tags out to Ultimo Dragon. Benoit takes a flying neckbreaker from Ultimo Dragon. Flying cross body off the top rope! I'll give a 0.8 on the Steamboat scale for that effort. Benoit reverses a Ultimo Dragon hammerlock. The element of surprise works in their favour, and they have soon left Canadian Chrises down and out on the canvas. I'm slapping a ****1\4 rating on this. World's Greatest Tag Team are backstage. They were building up the feud with Hurricane \ Karagias. Good plan, kudos to the booking squad. Lance Storm vs The Big Show : Lance Storm strikes Show. Storm hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Lance Storm hits a rolling kick on Show. Spin kick by Lance Storm to the face. Show blocks a punch. Big clothesline on Storm. The Big Show hits a bulldog off the ropes. Lance Storm slides out of the ring to the floor, then turns and leaves through the crowd. He's happy to have the win, and evidently isn't going to hang around for Show to get some payback. Almost a *** rating, but there were some bits that dragged, so **3\4 instead. A video is played, hyping the upcoming Hardy Boyz vs Angle \ Cena match. Hardy Boyz vs John Cena and Kurt Angle : Spin kick by Jeff Hardy to the face. J.Hardy crushes Cena with a running senton. Hooks the leg for a two count. Tag to Matt Hardy. Angle knocks Jeff Hardy to the ground. Angle Lock!!! Jeff Hardy taps out! M.Hardy and J.Hardy remain in the ring. Jeff Hardy does not look happy at losing. Matt Hardy goes to leave, but gets pulled back in by J.Hardy. Tensions seem to be rising between these two. A ****1\2 rating for a great match. Christian vs Eddy Guerrero: Eddy Guerrero strikes Christian. Eddy Guerrero scores with a back heel kick on Christian. Second rope flying axe handle, Christian goes down. Eddy Guerrero hits a rolling kick on Christian. Eddy Guerrero misses a clothesline. Hard back suplex on Eddy. Anyone remember when that was Shawn Michaels's finisher? Eddy takes a hurrancarana from Christian. There's a two count on the pin. Eddy Guerrero reverses a hip toss. Super frankensteiner on Christian, who hit hard. There's a two count on the pin. She comes on to him, rubbing her hand on his chest. Dawn Marie suddenly comes over and grabs her by the hair, dragging her away and throwing her out of the room, before slamming the door on her. Dudley Boyz vs New Age Outlaws: Dogg takes a headbutt from Bubba Ray Dudley. Big clothesline on Billy. Bubba Ray Dudley pulls Dogg onto the table for a piledriver, but he uses a backdrop to survive. Billy Gunn pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Running knee lift from Billy Gunn. New Age Outlaws hook up Bubba, and then hit a double suplex. D-Von walks into a spike slam. Road Dogg goes to slam D-Von through a table, but he manages to escape. Bubba counters an arm wringer with an elbow to the side of the head. Dogg walks into a spike slam. Bubba climbs onto the table with Billy Gunn and scores with a piledriver to destroy the table and get the victory. New Age Outlaws don't look like any means...and they finish them rush forward to attack Dudley Boyz, and send them to the outside. Threats are exchanged as the chaos ends. Tag to Lance Storm. Legsweep out of Nowhere. Where is Nowhere, and why do moves keep coming out of there? Does it have a factory? Storm crushes Cena with a big legdrop. There's a two count on the pin. Tag between Lance Storm and Edge. Lance Storm scoops up Cena. Edge bounces off the ropes and hits a flying Hart Attack clothesline. Edge slams John Cena down. Cena backdrops Edge out of a piledriver attempt. Big backdrop on Edge, executed well. Cena tags out to Kurt Angle. Edge tastes a high angle back suplex. It probably tasted like chicken. Delayed brainbuster suplex, Angle really drove that one down. Pin: 1 - 2 - 2.9999999. Angle drives a thrust kick into the chest of Edge. Tag between Kurt Angle and The Big Show. Show bodyslams Edge. Stephanie McMahon is backstage with Triple H. She put HHH over, talking about how great he is. Dudley Boyz vs Rikishi Fatu and Scotty 2 Hotty: Fallaway slam by Bubba Ray Dudley. Spear! Scotty is down and hurt. Dudley Boyz whip Rikishi into the ropes and hit a double back elbow. Bubba Ray Dudley pulls Scotty onto the table for a piledriver, but he uses a backdrop to survive. Rikishi Fatu powers out of a D-Von Dudley headlock. Scotty uses a basement dropkick to the knee. Scotty 2 Hotty goes to slam Bubba through a table, but he manages to escape. Death valley driver by Rikishi Fatu, D-Von Dudley got planted. New Age Outlaws come running down the aisle with chairs! Scotty whips Bubba Ray Dudley into the ropes. Is it Mutoh Appreciation Night? Dean Malenko with an enziguri. Pinfall attempt gets a 2.9999. Flying elbow from Dean Malenko, barely hitting the target. Hooks the leg for a two count. Stone Cold also signs it, but is immediately attacked by Hogan, who drives the table into his ribs. Steve Austin gets knocked to the ground by Hogan. Big Legdrop!!! Hulk Hogan walks off, having won this battle. The Undertaker vs The Rock: Undertaker gets slammed onto a trash can, squashing it. Undertaker walks into a spike slam. Cover for a two count. Undertaker ducks a wild right hand. Undertaker slams The Rock. Fallaway slam by The Undertaker. Hooks the leg for a two count. The Undertaker throws Rock into a shopping trolley. RVD takes a flying neckbreaker from Edge. Massive backbreaker, RVD got planted. Early reports indicate that the back was *not* actually broken, so the move's name should actually be backhurter. Hooks the leg for a two count. Rob Van Dam pulls a mule kick out of nowhere. Rob Van Dam hits a bulldog off the ropes. Hooks the leg for a two count. Spear! Edge is down and hurt. Pin, but Edge is out just before the three count. Rob Van Dam misses a big legdrop after stalling too long. Edge strikes RVD. RVD kicks Edge in the gut to reverse the momentum. He announces that tonight's guest is John Cena, who comes out from the back. They try to do a straight interview, but the constant taunts from Jericho soon annoy Cena, and he turns to leave...only to get attacked from behind with a metal bar that was part of the set! Chris Jericho leaves his guest down and hurt on the floor. Kurt Angle vs Taz : Tiger bomb by Kurt Angle, executed perfectly. Burning Hammer Drop from Kurt Angle, executed with perfect brutally. We hear a crack, and someone's footsteps running off. The camera pans over, and Shawn Michaels is out cold on the floor, a monkey wrench lying next to him, with no sign of the attacker. The Undertaker is in the ring, and he calls out Triple H. HHH appears, and eventually accepts a challenge to a match between the two. The Undertaker vs Triple H (For the World Heavyweight Title) : Stun Gun from Triple H! There used to be this blonde guy in WCW in the early 90's who used that...I wonder what happened to him? He announces that tonight's guest is Shane McMahon, who comes out from the back. They do a straight interview about what Shane is planning to do in the near future. John Cena vs Lance Storm (For The United States Title): Storm takes a headbutt from John Cena. Big clothesline on Storm. Hooks the leg for a two count. Storm reverses a waistlock. Driven DDT by Lance Storm. The ring shook violently, instantly making it better at selling than some of the current roster. Storm hits a massive spinning kick to the jaw. Second rope flying axe handle, Cena goes down. Storm walks into a trip. Storm walks into a spike slam. Lance Storm can barely stand. F-U!! That shook the ring. 1....2....3!! John Cena goes into the crowd, where he celebrates his victory This one gets a ***1\4 rating, it was a good bout. Kurt Angle is in the ring. Out from the crowd comes Brock Lesnar, who grabs a chair from ringside as he hits the ring. Angle turns, and gets floored by a brutal chair shot. Kurt Angle is in trouble. F5! Brock Lesnar raises the chair and drives it side-first into the throat of Angle, causing him to roll around in agony. The chair gets put around the head of Kurt Angle, who then gets driven face-first into the mat, crushing his windpipe against the steel. Paramedics come running out to help Kurt Angle as Brock Lesnar exits via the crowd. The Hurricane is backstage in the office of Shane McMahon, pointing out that his partner is not fit to compete in the upcoming tag match. Shane McMahon allows him to pick another partner, and that the match will go ahead. Chris Benoit is backstage. He continued the feud by ripping into Eddy Guerrero. Good to see they're giving the feud some proper air-time. World's Greatest Tag Team vs Ultimo Dragon and Tajiri (For The WWE Tag Team Titles) : Stiff high kick on Dragon by Charlie Haas who has evidently been watching some old AJPW tapes recently. Brock Lesnar gets whipped into the corner by Angle, who charges in with a clothesline. Lesnar grabs the referee and pulls him in the way! The referee calls for the DQ as he collapses to the mat in pain. Brock Lesnar gets out of the ring and walks off, having taken the cheap way out. Brock Lesnar looks furious. The referee walks over...and gets blasted with a clothesline! Lesnar has lost it! I can't decide whether it's a *** or a ***1\2 match...let's go for a ***1\4 rating to make it fair. Eddy Guerrero is in the ring. Chris Benoit comes out, and challenges him to a match at the next show. The challenge is accepted! Benoit rocks Eddy with a brutal elbow to the jaw. Hooks the leg for a close fall. Chris Benoit snap suplexes Eddy...with authority! ('With authority', trademark G.Monsoon 1986.)
