JoeDirt 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 Did people pretty much laugh at this stuff at the time, or where they into it? You know, with Paul Bearer telling the story of how Undertaker murdered his parents who worked at the funeral home, but his brother Kane was still alive, etc etc... yankovic fan 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I'd say I was pretty much captivated as to where they were going with it. Once Kane was revealed, I was around 16 or so and was having nightmares about him as messed up as that sounds. (of course Papa Shango gave me nightmares five years earlier as well) I was pretty much into the whole thing until the night on Raw when Kane had the two coffins of the parents on the stage and chokeslammed Taker onto em. I changed the channel in disgust and at the moment resolved to never watch Raw again. That lasted 2 weeks as Nitro was, well while decent, wasn't Raw. If that makes sense. deancoles 0 Report post Posted February 25, 2004 I liked the feud until one incident on Raw, Hawk stood up after a tombstone(then received another) on a Raw in January 98 and that made me think "if Hawk can take it why can't Undertaker just sit up" that and the Royal Rumble 98 stuff totally killed the feud for me which was a pity because i enjoyed their match at Wrestlemania.
