I love the psycho gimmicks (Loose Cannon Pillman, Crazy Old Man Funk, etc.), but STASIAK?!?!? And nothing like sending him out against Big Show to get a new gimmick over (or at least try).

I think they call it "clang association" Anyway, it probably won't go anywhere good.

And yet, this probably isn't the worst gimmick Stasiak has had. Remember the "charge heroically and miss horribly crashing into random obstacles" gimmick? You know, the idea of making Stasiak bipolar would be cool, and the potential for Hamletesque "He's only playing mad...or is he?" angles and segments could be very interesting, and if by some miracle I became head booker of the WWF I'd run to the endzone with it. But unfortunately, it seems way too complex for WWF programming. Keep in mind that this is the same company who just dumbed down Molly Holly's 'virtuous' gimmick to "she's a virgin." *YAWN* Poor Shawn Stasiak. The taping incident has probably made him some permanent political enemies, ensuring that even if he hits on a winning gimmick, it'll get torpedoed.

The only thing he needs is some dope beats. He shouldn't team up with Mr. Perfect, he should be reforming M.O.M. with Oscar and Viscera, only this time as: Mabel, Oscar and Meat. I thought his promo was entertaining last night. And even Smarks have to admit that the man has significantly improved inside the ring. He has incorporated a lot of psychology into his matches, more specifically his bout with Tommy Dreamer two weeks ago and for the few shots he got in last night against Big Show. Mark my words: Shawn Stasiak = the next Chris Benoit

Guest Rick001 Posted April 17, 2002 Report Posted April 17, 2002 I liked Stasiak's crazy intense person gimmick becuase it's new for him and the guy if pretty buff and wasn't afraid of the Big Slow I liked his "I'll earn respect gimmick" I LOVED it when Regal and Angle where talking and Stasiak ran into a suit of armor and knocked himself out and Angle and Regal looked down then continued to talk! Give the guy a chance one thing is for sure THIS gimmick isn't as bad as the Meat gimmick

As for psycho gimmicks, I never got to see Head in her prime (it is a her, right? I can't tell 'cuz of all the make-up and the short hair), but I have seen Perry Saturn with Moppy and I must say it was demeaning to him, to say the least. What's wrong with Stasiak? There has to be SOME non-superstar, clearly defined mid-carders who will never really get over for anything other than regional heat (Bradshaw, I'm looking at you).
