JAPW Results on 2/28/04 from Rahway, NJ ............

Attendance was approximately 675

1) Sonjay Dutt defeated Roderick Strong in a very strong opener in 12:43.  Crowd was into both men but solidly behind Dutt.  Lots of near falls and power moves out of Strong who impressed me for the second week in a row.  Dutt got the victory, but Strong proved himself worthy in his return to JAPW after almost two years away.

2) La Familia (Dan Maff & The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz) came to the ring.  Maff ran down the history he has had with Monsta Mack as a tag team ..... 16 tag team titles, 6 at one time, and so on.  He said tonight he wanted The Scoundrelz to stay in the back as this was personal and he wanted Mack one on one.  He also announced the match would be No DQ!

3) JAPW Tag Team Champions Slyk Wagner Brown & April Hunter defeated The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz to remain tag team champions.  On his way to the back, Slyk was attacked by Kaos.  Time:  6:58

4) Corvis Fear & Rush Margera defeated The Outkast Killahs.  After the match, The Solution attacked Fear and Margera and just destroyed them with move after move.  They said they were not leaving until they got a match, which led to ...Time 7:17

5) Balls Mahoney defeated Papadon & Havok (The Solution).  Balls said he helped train The Solution and did not like the way they are going about getting work, taking out younger teams by blindsiding them.  He wanted to teach them a lesson, which he did by defeating them in a handicap match. Time 12:01

6) Jay Lethal became the new JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion by defeating Azrieal (champion), Jack Evans, and The Insane Dragon in a spot filled 4 way match.  Lethal continues to impress every time I see him.  He is amazing to watch as he can adapt to many styles.  Hopefully 2004 is his breakout year as he definitely deserves it.  ime:  9:39

7) "The Rock Superstar" Kaos w/ Johnny D defeated Justice Pain in a hard fought bought.  These two hated each other back in the XPW days but never got to square off.  One year after XPW's demise they finally got to go at it, with the longest reigning XPW TV Champion in history getting the win.  Time 8:11

8) Homicide defeated Teddy Hart in a very good bout.  This bout went all over the arena with Homicide working on Teddy's knee.  The crowd tried to get under Teddy Hart's skin with chants of "C.M. Punk" and "Steve Corino" at times, but it had no effect.  Homicide looked much better in this match than the last match I saw him in.  But then again, that match was against C.M. Punk and this match was against someone with talent.  After the bought, Homicide went to give Hart the Copkilla but was stopped by a Jack Evans dropkick.  Evans still hurting from his own match was then overpowered and given the copkilla.  Homicide then cut a promo on Hart, bringing up Punk, and told Hart not to get crews involved in this because his crew is a crew you don't want to mess with.  Hart said that Homicide beat him tonight and he can accept that Homicide is the better man.  He then said, that as we all know, he injured his knee on TNA, so Homicide beat him while he was 50%.  He challenged Homicide to a rematch on 4/24, which was soon booked by JAPW.  In response to the C.M. Punk chants, Hart just motioned to the crowd as if he was knocking someone out, in reference to his one punch KO of punch on Wednesday night.  Teddy ended his promo with "God Bless Ya"  Time: 17:55

9) Christopher Daniels defeated Jerry Lynn in a very good bout.  Daniels proved once again why he is best in the world, bar none. Time:  20:22

10) JAPW Heavyweight Champion Dan Maff defeated Monsta Mack in a No DQ hard hitting fight. Time: 17:04

Teddy Hart again needs to shut his mouth.

Anyway, looks like it was a great show. Too bad I live in NC.

Thanks for posting the full results. The show did look really good, and has to be considered one of JAPW's stronger shows of the past few years. Nothing beats Happy Justin Credible in your signature JC2K.

Yet another version:

Jersey All Pro Wrestling 2/28 Rahway, NJ results

Sonjay Dutt defeated Roderick Strong in a excellent opener with a Dragonrana. Strong pulled off his second good performance in a row working Northeast dates, as he worked NWA Florida's Mikey Batts the previous week for Philadelphia's 3PW in a show stealer. The crowd gave the match a standing ovation post-match.

La Familia (Dan Maff and The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz) came to the ring for a promo to set up the evening's main event (or the scheduled main event...read on). Maff ran down the history of Da Hit Squad including their 16 tag team titles (6 at one time in various promotions). Maff said he wanted The Scoundrelz to stay in the back as this was personal between he and Mack and he wanted it to be a one on one match.

JAPW Tag Team Champions Slyk Wagner Brown and April Hunter defeated The Dirty Rotten Scoundrelz to remain tag team champions by submission as Brown forced EC Negro to submit. On his way to the back, Slyk Wagner Brown was attacked by Kaos, presumably to set up a future match.

Corvis Fear and Rush Margera defeated The Outkast Killahs. After the match, The Solution (Papadon and Havoc) ran in and jumped Fear and Margera and just squashed them with power moves to the point that they played dead, and sold the moves...for the next 15 minutes.

Meanwhile, The Solution said they weren't leaving the ring until they got a match (the storyline has been that The Solution has been squashing smaller tag teams post-match to build them for what would seem to be an eventual major run). All this led to the next match as Balls Mahoney defeated The Solution in a handicap match (the other storyline twist was that Mahoney had a hand in training The Solution and "didn't like the way they were going about getting work").

The finish came as Papadon was on the top rope when Fear & Margera, still laid out on the floor, got up and crotched Papadon on the top rope. Havoc went to go beat them up, and Mahoney gave Papadon a Nutcracker Suite from the middle rope through the table. Post-match, Mahoney laid out Havoc with a chairshot.

Jay Lethal became the new JAPW Light Heavyweight Champion by defeating Champion Azrieal, Jack Evans, and The Insane Dragon in a spot filled 4 way match, pinning Azrieal with a sick-looking brainbuster. This match was changed around from the original Light Heavyweight Title match plus a "aerial assault" match (matches which were combined) as Derek Wylde was announced as missing the show earlier in the day with "border problems".

"The Rock Superstar" Kaos defeated Justice Pain in a forgettable match. Kaos was rusty, as he hasn't gottten that much since XPW's closure.

Then, came what (unfortunately for those who had to follow) the real main event, as far as the crowd was concerned...

Homicide and Teddy Hart .

Loud "You got Punked" chants and catcalls came down out of the stands from the minute Hart walked out. All that would have been fine, as he got exactly the heel reaction a promoter prays he'll have on his show. It was hard to tell the difference with some fans as to who was marking out for a good heel, and who would have been happy if Hart would have been taken out in the parking lot and genuinely gotten his ass kicked.

This became your basic all-arena brawl at times, alternating with in-ring action featuring Homicide working on Teddy's "injured" knee.

The finish was a bit botched as Homicide clotheslined Hart, who may have been knocked silly and didn't kick out at 3 for what was to have been a near-fall, according to both promoter Frank Iadevia and Homicide himself. The finish was said to have originally been an STF shortly afterwards.

Post-match, Homicide went to give Hart the Copkilla (Kudo driver) but was stopped by a Jack Evans dropkick. Evans still selling from his own match earlier was then grabbed and nailed with the copkilla.

Homicide then worked the CM Punk incidence via a promo on Hart, and told Hart not to get his "crews" involved in this because his "crew" isn't to be messed with. Hart said that Homicide beat him tonight and he can accept that, but then claimed that he "injured his knee on TNA", so Homicide had only defeated him while he was "50%". Hart challenged Homicide to a rematch on 4/24, which was soon booked by JAPW.

While this match was announced for April 24th...this could be problematic as Homicide is listed for Ring of Honor's April 24th show in suburban Chicago (although not listed for a specific match).

This match was so over the top in terms of crowd reaction, that talents like Christopher Daniels and Jerry Lynn had to play second fiddle as far as the crowd was concerned as the crowd basically spent themselves on Hart's match, third from the top.

After all the fun, Christopher Daniels defeated Jerry Lynn in a very good technical bout, proving why they're the two best independent talents in North America not named AJ Styles, as Daniels hit the Angel's Wings on Lynn.

JAPW Heavyweight Champion Dan Maff defeated Monsta Mack in a No DQ brawl. As said earlier, the match had been built up as the main event...with the two longtime tag partners finally working each other in JAPW.

The match didn't get the reaction it should have, owing to the crowd being spent. It also wasn't helped at the beginning by Teddy Hart's real life unprofessionalism, as Hart started doing autographs and pictures in clear view as the scheduled main event. For those reading this, please don't write and try to tell me that's part of his "loose cannon" character. It was unprofessional and just plain disrespectful.

Those who didn't hang around missed a great double turn, as post-match, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels came out and reamed out Dan Maff for in essence, getting soft. Maff came out to answer the challenge...which was then followed by the old Da Hit Squad music. It seemed that Da Hit Squad was going to reunite when Monsta Mac suddenly jumped Maff for part 2 of the double turn.

JAPW comes to South Plainfield, NJ next Saturday March 6 with Al Snow, Chris Candido, Dan Maff, lyk Wagner Brown (with April Hunter), and returns to Rahway, NJ on April 24.

That's from Sweet Bobby Magee of pwbts.com

Let the Teddy Hart hatred bandwagon roll on.

Also, is there any actual logic to Joe's signature, or is it just flame bait from the Punk supporters?

Anyway, this show sounds quite solid and even though I've never watched a full JAPW show, this may be the first of their tapes that I buy.

Well, C.M. Punk basically ran down George W. Bush's views on gay marriage in his latest commentary, and ended it with "F*ck George Bush, Gavin Newsom (a strong supporter of gay rights) is the MAN!" I am a strong supporter of George W. Bush and that made me pretty mad, but I've taken it down to avoid any misunderstanding. I think C.M. Punk should just shutup and wrestle, like he is always telling Teddy Hart to do.

Yeah... Heaven forbid wrestlers act like actual people whom have opinions of which they post in their own journals.

If you want Punk to "shut up and wrestle", then simply do not read his online journal - when he mentions his political beliefs in a promo, then it's fair to bitch about.

Back on topic, looks like a rather solid show. Daniels/Lynn will be good, and I'm interested in seeing how Homicide and Hart meshed. Also good to see Lethal win.

Thank you for pointing that out... :bonk:

Well.. when JustJoe references said promo rather than a journal entry which he chose to read.. then he can complain.

One shouldn't expect a wrestler to hold back on his opinion in his own journal because of what may offend another person. That's all I was attempting to state.

What's with the anti-CM Punk bent of the 1wrestling report. And since when was the Hart/Punk scrap a 1 punch KO?
