To add more useless-ness to the thread, heres the PPV's ive ordered that had HBK as champ, Bret as champ, and Austin as champ.

(list only for when the person was champion, not challenging)

Bret Hart:

Royal Rumble 1993

Wrestlemania IX

King Of The Ring 1994

Summerslam 1994

Survivor Series 1994

In Your House 5

Royal Rumble 1996

In Your House 6

Wrestlemania XII

Ground Zero!

Bad Blood

Survivor Series 1997

Shawn Michaels:

In Your House: GF, BE

King Of The Ring 1996

Summerslam 1996

Survivor Series 1996

Royal Rumble 1998

Wrestlemania XIV

Steve Austin:

Over The Edge 1998

King Of The Ring 1998

Fully Loaded 1998

Summerslam 1998

Breakdown 1998

Fully Loaded 1999

Summerslam 1999

Backlash 2001

Judgment Day 2001

King Of The Ring 2001

Invasion

Summerslam 2001

Unforgiven 2001

Survivor Series 2001

From the totals, I believe I only missed one PPV with Bret Hart as World Champion (thanks to not having PPV from summer-fall of 1992)

Shawn Michaels got several buys, but WWF wasn't my primary focus anymore.

Austin made me a wrestling fan again. Hence all the PPV's bought with him as champion.

You order a lot of PPVs.

Here's what I ordered,

Royal Rumble98

Wrestlemania14

King of the Ring 98

Fully Loaded 98

Summerslam 98

Wrestlemania 15 :(

Wrestlemania17

Survivor Series02

So 6 for Austin and 3 for Shawn

Anybody else tally up how much they've spent on PPVs?

I've spent $1600 on PPVs from 2000 to now.

I'm insane.

How much is every PPV from December 93 to December 2000? Then take that, ad maybe six PPVs over the next two years, then from December 2002 to this very day, add about four normal PPVs and about 10 webcasts.

Then you'll have my total.

Superbrawl VI - 0.63

Uncensored - 0.7

Slamboree - 0.44

-------------------------- NWO Shows Up

Great American Bash - 0.48

Bash at the Beach - 0.71

Hog Wild - 0.62

Fall Brawl - 0.65

Halloween Havoc - 0.77

World War 3 - 0.55

--------------------------------- Shawn loses title

The NWO did not have a real significant impact on buyrates until 1997 as shown here. They went up, but only slightly. Surely, not enough to impact the WWF buyrates.

Considering I have over 200 wrestling tapes, and probably 100+ being PPVs from the last 10 years, I'm ashamed to realize PPV cost for it all.

Well, at least it didn't go into Rob Feinstein';s little boy grabbing pockets.

Starrcade 1994, one of the worst of all time and probably the worst Main Event in wrestling history drew a 6.0 buyrate. Or 5.5. Still better than most HBK shows.

Ed Leslie as Not Brutus Beefcake > draw than Shawn Michaels.

That's Hogan AND Savage vs. 234 guys in a cage. :D

Of course it was...because if Savage wasn't there I don't think the match would have been believable..... :D

I'm wondering if Hogan would have booked himself going over if he directed "The Passion".

Tony: THIS IS THE GREATEST COMEBACK IN THE HISTORY OF OUR SPORT!

As for the arguement of shawns drawing power. Well, lets put it this way. A well hyped main event will sell. A PPV is no main event annouced until 2 weeks before AND the undercard of complete crap will NOT draw. This is why HBK couldn't draw, he was over as hell. But couldn't draw because he was the worst booked champion ever. Worse than Jericho.
