Scroby 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 So yesterday I was watching the Monday Night Wars and a idea popped into my mind. Say NWA TNA got a tv deal and instead of going up against WWE on Monday nights NWA TNA got put on Thursday nights to go up aginast Smackdown WWE's step son to Raw. Thus beginning the Thursday Night wars...anyone have any thoughts about this if it would have happen on how NWA would approch that or how WWE would approch it? OldSchoolWrestling 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 I don't think they are ready to challenge Velocity yet. But if they did it, you can bet Russo and Jarrett would get even more airtime than they do now. It would go back to the days where TNA had a "suprise guest" every week, regardless of if the fans cared about him or not. Lots more celebrity guests as well. Scroby 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 I see your point but I ment it as a "what if" kinda thing not a "are they ready" thing.
Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 3, 2004 I think Vince would wipe them off the mat if they even thought about going up against the WWE
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted March 3, 2004 TNA is my favorite company besides WWE, but honestly, RoH would kick their ass because of the massive advantage in work-rate. TNA has big names, but RoH has the best matches on consistant basis (From what I've heard by 99.9% of people who see RoH shows).
WrestlingDeacon 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 If they were to get a t.v. deal I would go for like Wedenesday nights like they have now and Saturday afternoons, which used to be a bastion for wrestling. Instead of attacking Vince, let Vince's ego get out of control and attack you. It makes you look like a major player and like Vince is scared getting your company juice while you purposely don't go against the WWE in order to post good ratings and looking like good sports. Youth N Asia 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2004 Even without this RF scandal I couldn't see ROH competing with the WWE. I like their shows, but I think the average wrestling fanbase would rather have sports entertainment. I couldn't see ROH selling out big arenas
Scroby 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 Yeah but for ROH that would be sorta hard at the moment. A lot of people haven't seen ROH. I just saw it for the first time tonight because I bought the DVD. I would agree with you through.
