Getting to the smark chat..

If you don't like the Java client, just download an IRC client.

 

mIRC is the most common.  http://www.mirc.com/

 

Once you download and install, open it up.

First thing is to get to the server window. It will either come up automatically, or it's the second button from the left. Nickname is the imporant thing to enter, as that's what you'll show up as. Where it says IRC servers, scroll down the list until you see a StarChat:Random Server. Then all you have to do is push connect.

 

Once you're connected, type /join #thesmarks in the bar and hit enter. That'll bring you into the room.

 

A few helpful tips.

'/me' is used to note actions.

'/nick insertnamehere' will change your current nickname to whatever you choose.
