WONDERFALLS

Recommended Posts

That's the second episode I've seen of the show, and I really, really dug it.

Here's hoping Fox gives it a chance, because I'd like to see more of this program, rather than they pull the plug on it (like they do virtually every Friday night program it seems).

Well just to bump this thread up with some news. Wonderfall has been moved to Thursdays after Tru Calling(9e/8c) starting April 1ST (This Thursday).

And now to the show, I liked the first 2 episodes but I didn't like last weeks with the nun. But one thing that has remained is that I fall more and more in love with Caroline Dhavernas every week.

Yes, this show is amazing. I didn't get the whole "Destroy Gretchen" deal though, since she really didn't destory her at all.

And does anyone know where I can get a buddyicon for Wonderfalls? I searched everywhere and I couldn't find one.

Wonderfalls Cancelled

http://www.buffistas.org/showthread.php?th...71&post_id=9310

Tim Minear - Apr 3, 2004 5:56:32 pm PST #9310 of 9405

Well, not sure what to tell ya'll -- but we're cancelled. Effective at once. The cow creamer will be silent this Thursday and forever forward. Once we recover from the not-shock, Todd, Bryan and I will see if there's some venue in which to air the remaining episodes. As I have said from the start, the thirteen taken as a whole tell a story and go to a place, so a run of this "limited" series would not be unsatisfying elsewhere. It's a question as to whether the studio will want to invest in a DVD release of a failed series. Maybe the episodes will sit in a warehouse someplace with that sled and the arc of the covenant.

Thanks for all the support and enthusiasm.

Tim

Christ almighty.

Even "Fastlane" got a full fucking season.

Can't they just ship this off to FX to show the entire 13 episode arc?

You'd think these Buffy people would get the clue and know Fox doesn't want their shows to succeed.

For a network that's known to take risks on shows, you'd think Fox would give the shows they took a risk on a better oppurtunity. They take the risks by picking the show up, but then they give it two episodes to prove itself with to no promotion. That just doesn't add up. Guess Fox didn't learn anything from The O.C. taking off after an extended Summer run.

Fox will show the rest of the episodes during the summer.

No they won't.

They have never done that and they won't start now.

FUCK FOX!

They start it on Fridays, a shit night. Then move it to Thursdays, an impossible night. Plus they haven't promoted the show for shit.

FUCK FOX!

Fox is going to have an all year round schedule. In June, they are going to start a few new shows, plus show some shows that got pulled midseason, ie Wonderfalls.

They did with Titus. Within the past few weeks, I found the last 5 episodes on various tapes, and proceeded to do the dance of glee. happydance.gif

I've said the equivalent of "Fuck Fox" for so many reasons over the last 2 or 3 years, so I won't even bother anymore. The first Wonderfalls episode had me scratching my head, but I really enjoyed the second, and with this news, I'll be sure to cherish the final two I have taped.

Well, on Fox News tonight they said that the WB was interested in picking up Wonderfalls for next season!

Of course, they're only "interested", but at least there's hope for the future.

That's good. It happened with Grounded for Life. Though it fits better at WB than Wonderfalls would.

BUMPING THE THREAD FOR GOOD REASON!

DVD NEWS FROM AICN!

December 7!!

This is according to series executive producer (and frequent director) Todd Holland, who spilled at Thursday’s “Wonderfalls” screening in Hollywood.

The commentaries have not yet been taped, but series creator Bryan Fuller confides the plan is add commentary tracks to six of the 13 completed episodes: “Wax Lion” (the knee-slapper pilot), “Crime Dog” (the start of the big season story arc), “Lovesick Ass” (a mail-order bride arrives), “Safety Canary” (one of poor Kellie Waymire’s last jobs), “Cocktail Bunny” (noir hilarity as Jaye is instructed to save someone from someone else) and “Caged Bird” (the series finale).

Interestingly, the only commentary-sporting episode that aired in the United States is the pilot.

In other "Wonderfalls" news, "Cyberwitch" writes from Mrs. Moriarty's homeland of Argentina that the ENTIRE series airs there starting July 8. Lucky lucky South American bastards. Says she:

It'll be in english with spanish subtitles. For more information you can check www.mundofox.com.

Also, for those wondering what Fuller, who also created Showtime's "Dead Like Me," is doing these days, he's hard at work on a spec comedy-fantasy for the big screen.

Also also, for those wondering what "Wonderfalls" strongman (and Mutant Enemy superstar) Tim Minear is up to, he's adapting a bigscreen version of Robert A. Heinlein's "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress" for producers Mike Medavoy ("Holes") and David Heyman (the "Harry Potter" series).
