Guest JacK Report post Posted March 13, 2004 Ok, I've been thinking about this for a while. What are the various weight limit's for the various boxing divisions, like Bantamweights, heavyweights and the like?

Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 ...wow... I weight 180lbs and stand at 5'8. I'd be Cruiserweight material. If I knew how to box. Actually if I trained and everything, I'd be Heavyweight (since the limit is 190 for Cruiser, and frankly, I'd go over that by actually putting some muscle on this twig like body o'mine). Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted March 13, 2004 My tale of the tape is pretty similar to Andrew Golota. Straw weight fights are a fuckin' riot, because the REF could probably thump them both. They are, ten times out of ten, either a superquick little mexican guy, or someone from the far east who is also a kickboxer. The name escapes me, but I know the former champ of the division was the longest reigning champ at the time of his retirement.
EVIL~! alkeiper 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2004 Ricardo Lopez. 51-0-1 (38). Rosendo Alvarez was the only boxer to give him as much as a challenge. Jimmy Wilde was rumored to compete as low as 98 lbs., yet was one of boxing's all time great knockout artists. Panama Al Brown stood 5'11" and yet competed at 118 lbs.
