Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted March 18, 2004 Hey, Here's the deal. Basically, once in a while the guys I work with all get together and we eat a bunch of wings and watch a movie, either action or stupid comedy, on DVD. Since I own many stupid comedies that people have expressed interest in watching, I often bring them in, but never seem to have the ones we want to watch in the office, because I keep them at home. Is there any way I can rip these movies to my hard drive? I have plenty of space and a great new computer, and we're just playing them off a PC hooked up to a video projector anyway. The computer we use to play our DVDs is pretty high powered too, 2.4 ghz, 512 MB ram, 128 MB Nvidia graphics card, but it has a crappy pair of speakers hooked up to it and is only on a video projector that can display 800 X 600, so quality can be pretty good, but doesn't have to be great. Plus, we don't really watch the movie that critically anyway. Like I said, DivX, QuickTime, AVI, Mpeg, heck even RealMedia would be fine. Any suggestions?
