TNA Gets On The Wrestling Channel In England

Recommended Posts

Nashville, TN -- Frank Romano, Chief Operating Officer of TNA Entertainment, LLC, announced today that Total Nonstop Action Wrestling has reached a two-year distribution deal with The Wrestling Channel to broadcast the international version of TNA Wrestling’s pay-per-view and TNA Xplosion programs in the U.K. and Ireland.

The Wrestling Channel will broadcast the TNA International and TNA Xplosion programs starting with the September 17, 2003 show. TNA will have three hours per week on The Wrestling Channel program schedule.

“In the last couple of weeks, we have added three more countries to our distribution network,” Romano said, “We are currently in over 39 countries and hopefully that number will continue to grow.” Romano also added, “Programmers are looking for something fresh and new in the field of professional wrestling and our program fits that description.”

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling is distributed internationally by Matthew Ody who has secured placement of TNA programming on Star TV (serving 20 countries in Asia and 14 countries in the Middle East), TV7 (Indonesia), On*Media (Korea) and FoxTel (Australia).

TNA Wrestling is the first-ever weekly wrestling pay-per-view series available every Wednesday night at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Available on iN DEMAND, DIRECTV and TVN as well as Viewer’s Choice, Bell ExpressVu and Shaw PPV in Canada, TNA features some of the most recognizable faces in wrestling today—including Raven, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, and more! With less talk and more in-ring action, TNA Wrestling has gained recognition as the definitive alternative for today’s wrestling enthusiast.

The Wrestling Channel is the first full-time wrestling network of its kind and launched in the United Kingdom and Ireland on the BskyB digital satellite platform on March 15, 2004.
