Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 Its interesting re watching my older stuff and see how things started out Wm wise in the WWF. Pretty much the start of where Vince started to change the wrestling with the times. anyone wish to discuss the First WM to me i'll start.. Anyone notice that Steamboat looked about 30 pounds heavier and muscled bound than his later showings in the WWF? Ok I have to say this... Johnny Valient is such a Under Rated Manager he has great mic work and gets physical like a veteran former wrestler would. Its hard who is suppose to make look good in Sammartino vs Beefcake. David seemed extremely basic and or brawler with a few nice submission spots, but Beefcake the future anthrax scare caller seems just a punch kick at that point... Much like every other time for that matter. JYD such a substandard wrestler but is such a great Fan favorite... One of the early examples of a Character wrestler. Another thing, You can Tell Greg Valentine was a tag team partner of ric flair. nevermind the Figure fours match...but Greg picked up alot of Flair mannerisms and even has his own "Hammer Flop"
MillenniumMan831 0 Report post Posted March 21, 2004 I've always enjoyed Johnny Valiant's interviews. He could just babble on about nothing and never have to take a breath. WM seemed sorta weird because the WM feel didn't kick in until at least the title matches were beginning. Still, a fun WM to kick back and enjoy and I liked it a hell of a lot better than many of the latter ones.
Perfxion 0 Report post Posted March 22, 2004 Over all the show sucked, but for 80s WWF, not much better was out there.
