Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 Smackdown tonight looked decent in the Spoilers. I'm definetly looking forward to interaction between Hogan and Jericho, and the main event sounds decent. I really want to see how Hogan looks in there with guys like Chris and Kurt. Plus we get to hear from D'Von!
Guest Zack Malibu Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I'm looking forward to D-Von's "sermon" to see how the gimmick plays out, the Hurricane/Kidman vs. Tajiri/Chavo match, and how the Hogan/Jericho/Edge/Angle storyline is played out.
Guest Tony149 Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I want to see how Jericho trashes Hogan. I wonder if Hogan was thinking "I'll get the last laugh little man." when Jericho was trashing him.
Guest Brian Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 Soon these things are going to start popping up around RAW.
Guest Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 Should I do a rant like Monday for this? Did any1 care about my comments?
Guest Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 Smackdown tonight looked decent in the Spoilers. I'm definetly looking forward to interaction between Hogan and Jericho, and the main event sounds decent. I really want to see how Hogan looks in there with guys like Chris and Kurt. Plus we get to hear from D'Von! I think Hogan will look like he always looks and will make Jericho & Angle look like shit in the mean time. Just like with Triple H. Bad Enough Angle & Jericho have to slow down and take it down about 4 knotches when their in there with HHH. With Hogan, Their gonna have to take it down about 10 Knotches. I'll be shocked if the D'Von segment is on Smackdown. That will probably show up on Heat,Jakked, etc, etc. Cruiserweight Tag Match should kick ass though. and we get to see Triple H & Vince feed their Ego's by having Stacy drool all over the both of them. Funny how all these always end up being a "I Hate Triple H" thing.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted April 18, 2002 Report Posted April 18, 2002 I did kind of find it ridiculous that HHH had her drooling over him as well. Why? Did thatnget him over? No. Nothing can as a face right now, IMO. Hey, someone pin this anyways...
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I guess Stacy just loves how::crowd in unison:: INTENSE~! he is.
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Nice opener by the unusual suspects. A hot match involving Billy and Chuck, Albert, Rikishi, Maven, and Al Snow. Who would've thought. The gay gimmick is even putting heat on Albert now just by association. I just hope the AGD get to keep the titles for another month or so.
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 That Hogan/Jericho segment was pretty good. The fans were REALLY into Hogan. The nostagia tour is at full steam. The fans know what it is and they love it. Poor Jericho. The fans could really care less about the guy. I mean, he got pretty good heat for interrupting the ripping of the T-Shirt, but during his interview the reaction was tepid at best. I guess he has the so called "HHH Heat," the fans respond to his music, but little else. If you can't get heat off of ripping on Hulk Hogan, then you havce a serious problem generating heat. But maybe it's not Jericho's fault. Maybe the fans are so into Hulkamania that they really don't consider anyone a threat to him.
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Edge - "But I'll leave....for now!" You tell him Edge! Just the sheer thought of you coming back makes me wet my Hulkamnia undies!
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I can't watch this anymore. I've been bored out of my mind watching SmackDown! since the split. Time to watch a DVD....
Guest RicFlairGlory Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 We officially have a new name for Hogan, to go along with our buddy HGH, we now have HBH, Has Been Hogan was born tonight... Jericho glory..
Guest big Dante Cruz Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 ARGH! SONOFABITCH! DDP, a guy that lost millions of $$ so he could go the WWF and wrestle, just lost a match to HARDCORE FRIGGIN' HOLLY and lost to a FUCKING DROPKICK!!!! How jealous was 'Taker of Page, anyway?
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I expect another Rock/Hogan scenario at Backlash. The crowd was super hot for HHH, but when the chairshot came so did the boos. Though, I won't be surprised if the crowd is a bit more split for this one. Angle and Jericho get alot of heat together. They need to keep those two together, bot for Angle's sake, but for Jericho's.
Guest chirs3 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 SMELL THE CONTINUITY ERRORS~! After the HHH/Jericho/Stephanie triple threat, anyone who went to WWF.com saw that Trips was drafted by Flair, and Jericho by Vince. So if HHH loses the title at Backlash, he should go to Flair... Logic? What for?
Guest Mik at Cornell Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 HHH was drafted by Flair? I must have missed that. I saw Jericho drafted to smackdown but not HHH drafted to raw.
Guest areacode212 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Maybe the idea is that the loser of the match would go on the winner's show, hence HHH would go on Hogan's show (SD). And if, say, Austin beat HHH, Trips would go on Raw.
Guest TheDames7 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I noticed this one little thing.... During the graphic for RVD - Eddy...it read the the title on the line was the "Intecrontinental Title". WCW Production crew at it again. Dames - Amatuer Director...

Logic? What for? When did they say this? They just said the people in the match couldnt be drafted becasue one of them could be UC.
Guest bcu1979 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Another Smackdown show saved by Jericho and Angle. Well, saved might not be the right word. "Made tolerable" might be more accurate. The tag main event was nothing more than Jericho and Angle bumping every time one of the HHH's moved. Did either of them get one offensive move in that did not result from a double team? The Jericho promo on Hogan was awesome and my favorite part of the show. The feud in the ring will probably end up looking like a repeat of the Hogan/Kidman feud. But if Jericho's allowed to let loose on the promos then there will at least be a reason to tune in to Smackdown. I thought Jericho got a strong reaction from the crowd. I heard an asshole chant at one point and several other weaker chants. The fact that no one chanted WHAT at him his a good thing. They listened to what he had to say and reacted with boos or HOGAN chants. A few lines fell flat but he got a lot more reaction than Triple H did on Monday. While I enjoy the Angle/Jericho interaction, I hate that Angle is portrayed as a comedy character. There's no intensity to his character lately. Well, except for when he gets mad in the ring when Triple H makes him his bitch. Then he just gets beat up some more and has his singlet pulled down so everyone can laugh at him. Or maybe it's so Triple H can get a better look at his ass? Stacy Keibler could be used to help elevate a young talent. Instead, she is now being used to feed the boss's ego and the boss's wannabee son-in-law's ego. Next week she'll probably get underneath Vince's desk while he moans and then walk in on Triple H naked and pass out from the sight of his INTENSITY. How long before Hogan starts complaining that some hot chick needs to be drooling over him as well? It's so sad to see Christian, Lance Storm and Val Venis play background jobber characters in those awful Mark Henry skits while they are having matches like DDP/Holly and Test/Faarooq on Smackdown. Where's that Storm push J.R. has been talking about for months now? I did like the stuff with Edge tonight. They certainly are trying to make him into something. Crazy works much better for him than serious or intense. Great way to start off the cruiserweight division. Have the champion complain that he's a nobody and no one cares about the match? I can think of a lot of WWF PPV matches over the years that no one has cared about but I don't think the WWF ever advertisted that on their own show before. Rey Mysterio Jr. should run now. I forgot to mention that there were no clips of the Jericho/Angle beatdown on the HHH's from last week. That would have explained the main even perfectly. Instead of Michael Cole screaming "why?" 300 times during the course of the show. But I guess that might have made the HHH's look weak going into the PPV or something. At least, that's probably the WWF's explanation.
Guest Tony149 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Anybody notice the WWF tried hard to edit the HHH chair shot on Hogan, since Hulk put both his hands up before the chair even came close to him?
Guest Smeghead Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 SMELL THE CONTINUITY ERRORS~! After the HHH/Jericho/Stephanie triple threat, anyone who went to WWF.com saw that Trips was drafted by Flair, and Jericho by Vince. So if HHH loses the title at Backlash, he should go to Flair... Logic? What for? What continuity errors? Triple H was not drafted by Flair or McMahon. As the champion, he was ineligible for the draft. If his name was on WWF.com, it was a mistake and they got rid of it very quickly. By the time I checked WWF.com, the lottery was over, and Trips was nowhere on the list. What they're doing here makes perfect sense. When the champion loses the title, he/she goes to the roster that the current champion was on.
Guest chirs3 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 If you went to the WWF site after the draft, HHH was under Flair's column. I assumed it meant when he lost it he'd go to Raw.

Guest Tony149 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Who has DDP pissed off this time? He lost to a DROPKICK. When was the last time anyone did that? DDP probably pissed off Vince McMahon's dog. I can't remember the last time somebody won via a dropkick.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Vince: Hello Page, I'd like you to meet my dog, Chyna. Would you take her for a walk for me? DDP: I'd love to boss, but I've got a match about to start. Could I do it after? Vince: My god, you damn WCW guys have no respect! Now go out and lose to a dropkick, then come back and grovel and maybe, you'll still have a job. DDP: Yes boss. I'm sorry boss, I'm only a poor former WCW champion...
