WWA Upcoming Shows

Recommended Posts

One of my good friends is a ring announcer and interviewer for the World Wrestling Alliance that books shows throughout Massachusetts, and he's given me a listing of some of their upcoming shows, as well as some stars who are going to be there. I know I'll be at a few of these shows, so if Jay, 'Mortal, Corey, PK, or anyone else from these parts are interested, come and check a show or two out.

World Wrestling Alliance Shows:

April 2nd in Quincy, MA at the Armory, 1000 Hancock St.

Chris Candido, Tammy Sytch, and Zack Gowen have been booked for the show.

April 3rd in Ware, MA at the Town Hall Auditorium

Candido, Sytch and Gowen again

April 16th at the Armory in Bridgewater, MA

Kevin Nash will be signing autographs and taking pictures between 6-7:30. Nash will also be in action that night.

Admission is $20, and includes an autographed 8x10 of Nash

April 17th at the Elks Lodge in Leominster/Fittsburg, MA

Kevin Nash is a possibility for this show as well.

As I get more info I'll update. I personally haven't been to a WWA show yet, but have heard good things about a few of the guys. Sounds MUCH better than the NEWA/RIWA shit we've gotten around here for years (and when I say shit, I mean SHIT. Corey can vouch for that, lol).

I can also vouch for NECW being great. Seriously. If you go to www.wrestlingmark.com (which is run by a Masshole I met at an NECW show, oddly enough, and focuses on the New England indy scene), check out the poll that asks something along the lines of "which indy has the best chance at being the basis for a New England territory." NECW (New England Championship Wrestling) is in the lead by FAR. It's basic wrestling with basic storylines, but the main events are almost ALWAYS good. The last show in Framingham featured one *** bout between Maverick Wild and Antonio Thomas for Maverick's NECW Heavyweight title, and a ***1/2 bout between Sabotage (DC Dillinger and Eddie Edwards, the latter of which is going to be a big name on the indies one day) and Adrenaline (Brian Fury and Chris Venom) for Sabotage's NECW Tag Team titles. Y'all should come to the May 15th show, which I think also MIGHT have an interview with Johnny Valiant, but that could be an event in and of itself later in May.

Quincy, eh? Bridgewater? Leominster? I think those are kinda far from Franklin (which, to give you an idea, is about 10 minutes from Woonsocket, if that, using backroads), and I don't get my license until around April 20th...
