Guest edge007 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 My brother and I were fighting, so now he has LOCKED the computer...locked, as in password locked. But not only that, he's passworded it at DOS. You turn on the computer, everything is loading in DOS (memory check, etc.) and then a Password window appears. Is there ANY way to set my own password somehow when I'm allowed on the computer again, or is there any way to get past this hassle?
Guest edge007 Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 You could reset the CMOS. What does that do? Keeping in mind that I don't want to format the harddrive or do anything perilous like that.
MrRant Posted March 31, 2004 Report Posted March 31, 2004 It should reset all options in the BIOS. However you would have to open up the computer and know what the correct jumper is.
