Guest HartFan86 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 In the Crusierweight title match, Michael Cole says: "Smackdown is looking forward to more crusierweights coming to the Smackdown brand very, very soon." Comments? Feedback?
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Maybe he'll do a run in at backlash...*crosses fingers* Mysterio, not Michael Cole.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I'd take any combination of Misterio, Jamie Knoble, Shannon Moore, & Jason Jett. I'd like to see all 4, but I doubt they'd do that.
Guest Singular Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Are Jason Jett and EZ Money one and the same? Does he have a WWF development deal?
Guest HartFan86 Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 Are Jason Jett and EZ Money one and the same? Does he have a WWF development deal? Yes and I don't think...
Guest Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 EZ Money aka Jason Jett does have a WWF deal. He was one of the WCW contracts signed during the buyout. He is currently in HWA and last I read he was HWA champion. He is too big to be in the cruiserweight division. He would be a strong midcarder. They are supposed to be bringing up Shannon Moore and Jamie Knoble soon to the main roster along with Rey Mysterio Jr.
Guest razazteca Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 are the new cruiserweights, Smackdown exclusives or will some show up on Raw?
Guest Zack Malibu Posted April 19, 2002 Report Posted April 19, 2002 I honestly don't think Nova will wind up in the Cruiserweight Division. He'd do better in the midcard, or in a tag team. I would assume Knoble, Moore, and Mysterio are on there way. I think Lance Cade is a cruiserweight as well, and they could always use Mike Sanders in a cruiser role, though I think he'd be better in the midcard too. Chad Collyer recently accepted a developmental deal, and I believe he was trained by Dean Malenko, so he may be someone to watch for.
Guest Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 I think it would funny to see Micheal Cole run in at the Backlash main event and cost HHH the title. Start his on stable. The Announcers. Yes I know, Im clever. Also that could set up Stevie Ray to come in. FRUIT BOOTYYYY, HULK HOGAN, WE COMIN FO YOU, NIGGA!!!!"
Guest Anglesault Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 Wow, one MORE reason to stop watching wrestling. I don't care for Raw. Angle and Jericho are being depushed on SD! Test and Bob Holly are getting TV time. and now there is going to be a flippy invasion. At least i can ween myself off this shit.
Guest Brian Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 Anglesault, what bothers you so much about the lucha style? Is it that hard to grasp? It's only really Rey who pushes it that far, to the point where it's reduced to flip-flop.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 Anglesault, what bothers you so much about the lucha style? Is it that hard to grasp? If you are going to jump and bounce all over the ring, have something meaningful after it. Same problem I have with the elbow and worm. It's only really Rey who pushes it that far, to the point where it's reduced to flip-flop. And isn't he the guy everyone is calling for?
Guest Brian Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 The only reason I'm calling for rey is he brings alot of flash and was part of the foundation for the WCW cruiserweight division, which makes him a big name to start a division on. With the right opponent, a TAKA, Chavo, Eddie, or Juventud; he could be apart of a really good match. As for the whole bouncing around the ring thing, it's a matter of understanding the style. I don't know how that is much different than 95% of the WWF's roster throwing uncovincing punches all the time, accept the "bouncing around the ring" is more of a show of athleticism and seems to take more skill stringing than into a match. Better than "punch, punch, punch, whip, move, pin, pick up, rinse, repeat".
Guest RickyChosyu Posted April 20, 2002 Report Posted April 20, 2002 If you are going to jump and bounce all over the ring, have something meaningful after it. Same problem I have with the elbow and worm. Rey is good at that stuff. His spots are always chained together well and he has a good mind for match flow. He's one of the only luchadors I've ever seen be able to work a type of psychology into his style that just works. He's not as good as he used to be, but he's still one helluva worker and has a lot to bring to the table.
