WrestlingDeacon Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Here's the question: "Was the song that was played during the opening credit sequence of True Romance used in another film? I remember the film was, like True Romance, about a couple who killed a bunch of people, but I can't remember it and its killing me. thanks." It's been years since I've seen True Romance and my memory of it is actually pretty shotty. The song is right on the tip of my brain, but I can't remember it. I'm sure as soon as I know the song I can figure out the rest, but all info in appreciative. That way I don't have to go out and rent the film, although I probably should.
Downhome Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Ok, we have Graceland by Charlie Sexton, it's the very first one that plays right when the movie starts when the first bit of credits roll. Then when the main credits roll You're So Cool by Hans Zimmer is playing.
Conspiracy_Victim Posted April 1, 2004 Report Posted April 1, 2004 Well, Charlie Sexton actually contributed 3 songs to the soundtrack for Thelma and Louise (a couple who goes around killing people) although none of the three were "Graceland" ("Badlands, "Mercury Blues", and "Tennessee Plates" actually), but maybe they just heard Sexton. Just a possibility.
WrestlingDeacon Posted April 1, 2004 Author Report Posted April 1, 2004 Thank you very much for the help guys. I really appreciate it and will root around to see what else I can find about other movies the songs might have used on.
