I'm guessing he was still employed by WWE when that was written considering there's no mention of his release.

Guess you didn't read that thread, huh?

: Do you want Brock to come back?

A: I would have wanted him to stay, but after really leaving us high and dry like he did, not really. He received a tremendous push and had a ton of guys work hard to get him there and then just walked out.

I still don't get "leaving us high and dry"

If they had big, important plans for Brock and he stormed out, that would be leaving them high and dry.

As is, he was probably gonna play the role Booker is playing a house shows, and doggamnit, it looks like they found someone to play that "built for Brock and ONLY Brock" role.

It's not just the programs he was in at the moment, why are you being so damn short-sighted? It was the fact that they put a LOT of money behind him to market him as a top star, in a time when WWE is starting to run short on star power. They gave him a push that let him, essentially, run over the entire roster for his 2 years in the company, gave him the belt several times in that period, and had how many big names lay down for him.

Just because he was probably going to be doing a program with Taker for the next few months doesn't mean squat. You make it sound like that's what he was going to be doing for the rest of his 7 year contract. They built him up for long term use and were hoping to get a lot more mileage out of all that hard earned star power they gave him, but he rendered that entirely null and void.

Are you saying they were running short on star power then or they are now?

Not exactly 2 years. Around July of last year, the Brock Lesnar character really went to hell. He became Angle's gay lover for a while, than the paranoid loser that men like Angle and Undertaker could seemingling beat at will (Taker doing it multiple times in one two on one match) then he went on to the period where he had Heyman and all his huge friends do his work, and the period where he was running scared of BOB HOLLY. Brock's last eight months were pretty brutal to watch. And I'm not even counting his second reign with the belt, where he jobbed left and right and got something like two pinfall victories.

Just because he was probably going to be doing a program with Taker for the next few months doesn't mean squat

Think about how badly Taker treated him in the two programs where brock was "put over"

Now think of what "Taker destroys Brock to put Taker over" will look like.

It could have killed Brock for a long time

On a more topical note, I can't wait for Storm's autobiography. And also the Team Canada/Un-American thing, how hard would it be for WWE to move Storm to Smackdown and push him to the uppercard with his "If I could be serious for a minute" speil? I mean it's not like Smackdown is overflowing with uppercarders/main eventers right now, and it beats jobbing to Rhyno in 36 seconds.

I wish the Brock/Taker feud happen before Brock left. Wasn't Taker telling people backstage he was going to "teach Brock a lesson?"

I would have liked to see Taker try to be a big man and try to go all MMA on Brock Lesnar.

It was an April Fools Joke...and I said so on the first page. :D

I love reading Lance's commentaries, and this is no exception.

But it constantly amazes me how, if you didn't know that he was a wrestler, you wouldn't think that he was.

Which isn't a bad thing.

Q: Whom can’t you have a good match with, if that is even possible?

A: I can’t have a good match with a guy who won’t listen. Some people insist on doing things their way. Sometimes it is easier to have a good match with a terrible worker who will listen than an okay worker who won’t

Great point.
