Guest Banders Kennany
Tonight is indeed the series finale.

Cartoon network has this thing about fifty two episodes (four seasons).

They have not picked it up for any more seasons.

So sad... I don't see them applying these same laws to their precious space ghost.

What do you mean? I thought low ratings cancelled it. Why do they cancel everything after 52 eps? Have they done this with other shows? To my knowledge things Johnny Bravo and Powerpuff Girls are still being made.

apparently they buy contracts in 4 season chunks.

With 52 episodes, one can show an episode each night and only repeat like six times a year. I heard somewhere that thats a good thing.

Similarly one can show one episode a week and have no repeats in a year.

And you would think if it got some of the highest ratings they would renew the contract. It's not like people are going to flock to reruns as if they were new shows. I am sure Seinfeld is lucky to get barely a hundredth of the ratings it did when it was still making new eps. This doesn't seem to make sense to me. Does the 52 count for the UPN eps? Man...I sure hope Comedy Central makes an offer to pick it up.

I hate that episode of Sealab. I've seen it 3 or 4 times, too.

Disney does the same thing. Recess, in my opinion, is one of the most enjoyable animinated shows to ever come from there, and it was still grabbing them great ratings when it hit roughly 65 episodes. They did the same thing with Lizzie McGuire when everyone's contract had an option to renew despite it being the most popular show on their line-up for years.

BTW I was lied to.

Apparently there will be no Home Movies repeats.

Instead they plan to bring back ...

...

Ripping Friends.
