Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Brown w/ three Ks in six batters. Marvin, how do you get to the preview on Direct TV?
Bruiser Chong Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Well...I have officialy fallen in love with the extra innings baseball package free preview already. Something about flipping between the White Sox/Royals and Rangers/A's in the middle of a Wednesday afternoon...while waiting to see Vlad play for the Angels tonight makes me very giddy. Must...Find...$150...before...preview...ends... Same here. I had actually planned on getting it after being unable to watch more than half of the Cubs games from June - on, but I cooled off on the idea as this season approached. But since this week started, I've basically become sold on the idea just because if I get the package, I can basically watch baseball pretty much whenever I feel like it. Something about the games that've been played so far, too, they've just made me want to buy the package.
Vern Gagne Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 It's actually basic cable. The Twins want Victory Sports to be added onto the rest of the cable stations. Comcast wants people to pay money like other premium stations. That's what happened here with Cablevision. Do the Twins own that staion? Yep.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 In Buffalo, so many people complained about losing the Yankees games when they started the YES network, Adelphia gave in and picked up the station the day before the season started. They said we'd be losing MSG...but we still have it and they show the Mets all the time.

Expect it to drag on a while, and expect the Twins to win, with the yankees setting the precedent.
Vern Gagne Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 That's pretty much what every thinks will happen. Some reports a deal would be made by the end of the week. That's isn't going to happen though. Right know I'm upset about Mauer's injury. If Santana or Hunter misses any significant time I'll really be pissed.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Abbot has a no hitter 3 and 1/3 innings, Brown has a one hitter 3 innings.
Bruiser Chong Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Bitchboy Lofton 0 for 6. Yes, because we all know that the Yanks have dropped two of three because of Lofton. Granted he should be getting on at least half the time as a leadoff hitter, but christ, could you wait until the season's more than two weeks old to start completely shitting all over the team that you supposedly love?

I'm not shitting over the team, I'm shitting over the man who, when he was signed, claimed that he would park cars if need be, and then turned around and immediately demanded that he get the lead off spot and center field. He he sucks at lead off and blew a play in center yesterday.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Jeter flips the ball for the force to A-Rod, and Alex drops it. I almost had a coronary. Alex was able to pick it up in time, though, and the un was gonna score anyway.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 God damnit, it's Paul Abbot! Get a hit!
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 God that Yankees line-up is fearsome! Will being no-hit by Paul Abbot lead AngleSault to suicide? Stay tuned bah gawd!

Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 The White Sox succesfully held on to a lead!
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 AS's boy Lofton just broke up the nohitter in the 6th
Guest OctoberBlood Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 WTF is Lou doing? Anyawys, How many days will extra innings be free? I got every baseball game yesterday and today free so far. I thought it was only for one day (yesterday)?

Bruiser Chong Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 It's free for the entire week, if I'm not mistaken, meaning that Sunday night will be the last free night. And all things considered, the Yanks should've probably scored at least three or four, since they scored two with only one out and then loaded the bases.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I love you Lofton! He's my hero for breaking that shit up. And, of course everyone else invovled in that rally.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 2 Runs with the heart of your order after the bases are loaded is a rally? That's horrible
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Shut up. We had one foot in the hole with Enrique leading off. Great play by Bernie.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Those two fly outs were smoked. Time to warm up Flash.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Oakland gets the tying run on second in the bottom of the ninth (one out) when the sun gets in the eyes of 3 fielders running after it.
The Ghost of bps21 Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Texas holds on ro beat Zito and the A's 2-1.
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 Oakland has no offense except for Dye, Crosby, and Chavez. I have 2 of those 3 on my Fantasy team.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 (edited) Good inning from Brown. Look for him to start the eigth, with Flash waiting. Edit: Maybe not. Gordon is already almost ready, so he should start. Edited April 7, 2004 by Anglesault
Guest FrigidSoul Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 I'm surprised Yankee fans aren't worried about Gordon. His arm is barely hanging on and though he was dominant last year he faced the line-ups of Detroit, and Cleveland quite a bit. I have a feeling that a 7th grade pitcher could have dominated those teams.
Guest Anglesault Posted April 7, 2004 Report Posted April 7, 2004 He had a good year last year, he had a good ST (for what that's worth) so you kind of hope it continues.
