BoboBrazil 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 1. Russo was behind getting XXX back together. 2. While some are trying to claim that Dutch and Jarrett are writing the shows now and Russo is just on tv because Dutch thinks he is a great tv character and Dutch is writing the role for him, the truth is Russo writes the tv. Jarrett and Dutch then get his script and change things, and often change alot. 3. The UK vs AAA matches were said to be the weakest of any so far. Dave heard alot of comments on the UK team, with all of them basically saying the UK team is nothing special. There were major style clash problems as neither are used to working the other's style and all the matches were said to be bad. The feeling after the singles matches is this would be the first X cup show that wouldn't be good. The crowd got totally behind team AAA, even more so than expected. Mr. Aguila pinned Dean Allmark. Heavy Metal pinned Robbie Dynamite in 4:00 of a match described as a mess. Dynamite dropped Metal wrong on his head. Metal was upset, decided not to trust the guy anymore, and called for the finish right away. Hector Garza pinned Frankie Sloan in a slow paced match. James Mason pinned Abysmal Negro when U.K. manager Dave Taylor hit Negro with the flag pole. 4. With Mantel now working more closely with WWC as the IWA/TNA relationship is done, Eddie Colon is expected in. 5. The plan is to start doing all live shows again starting in June or July. Dave says the indications they've gotten indicate that the taped shows have gotten better buyrates at significantly lower prices, but TNA probably have their reasons. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted April 5, 2004 The plan is to start doing all live shows again starting in June or July. If the Fox deal goes through, I guess that means live PPVs? Or will the Fox Net shows be live too? Maybe Fox wants them live? Am I asking too many questions?
