Use Your Illusion 0 Report post Posted April 6, 2004 Following his shoot fight at a K-1 event in Japan, 'Dr Death' Steve Williams announced that he has been suffering from throat cancer. Williams, best known to newer fans for his brief runs in WCW and WWF, will be having surgery in the coming days to remove a polyp from his throat. People close to him say that he expects to make a 100% recovery following the surgery. Dr Death spent the peak of his career alongside big names before they made it, such as Ted Dibiase and Jim Duggan in the UWF. After making his name in Japan, Steve briefly returned to North America where he took part in the angle which got JR back to TV following a relapse of Bells' Palsey. Some may also remember his partnership with the late Terry Gordy. Credit: Buck Woodward @ PWInsider.com UYI
