Guest Choken One Posted April 6, 2004 Report Posted April 6, 2004 Ok. Apprently my cpu started acted up and getting slow...I Figured I had too many Videos and Music dled...so I deleted a shitload of stuff... things were fine for a week...then my CPU would just crash randomly...and said stuff like low memory or something...This happened once before a few months ago...I put the Windows disc inthere and upgraded it i guess and everything was fine...so i thought "well...do it again". So i did but i discovered I created a seperate Windows thingy to my cpu...I have no idea with that makes sense but on the "old" one...the Main screen doesn't work...and I have to do the windows task bar to make stuff work...and I can't watch any videos but the music works. On the other one...The sound doesn't work at all and It's missing the music and Videos i have on the other one... I'm perplexed...the "new" one works fine and has the normal screen and everything save for the sound...and the old works in the sense I can use my music but the normal screen is gone (meaning only my screensaver shows up and not the icons and shit)... what the fuck have I done? So should I just burn all my music to discs...and delete the movie files and just erase everything? and if so...how do I do it?
Pegasus Kid Posted April 11, 2004 Report Posted April 11, 2004 Back up whatever you need and format your drive. Your computer is attempting to boot dual OS at the same time.
Guest Smell the ratings!!! Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 in english: your computer is trying to run the old and new Windows at the same time and it's fucking everything up. You need to reformat your hard drive to fix it, but save your shit first or it will vanish into computer limbo.
Guest Choken One Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 i have nothing to save... So what do I do then?
