WWE Smackdown Preview for January 18th, 2004:

This week, the finals of the United States Championship Tournament will occur when Kurt Angle takes on Rhyno in the Main Event. Both men went through tough competition to get here, and it will no doubt be a great match.

In a Six-Man Tag Team Match, The Ultimo Dragon (captain), Tajiri, and Jushin Liger will go up against Jim Duggan (captain), Marty Jannetty, and Bret Hart in a Captains Fall Match. The only way to win is to defeat the captain of the team.

Also in Action...

The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

Chris Benoit (w/ Dynamite Kid) vs. Booker T (w/ Goldust)

The Worlds Greatest Tag Team & Rico Constantino vs. The Hurricane, Rosey, Billy Kidman

The Road Warriors vs. Tommy Dreamer & Stevie Richards

I had thought you meant all shows, but I hope you decide to do all shows in it as it will raise my boredom a little bit. I'm at home via Broken bone in leg,and a broken leg. I love your new idea.

I'm gonna be pulling a Rumble 2000 and substitute the two worst wrestlers from each rumble and substitute them with my newest creations.

Smackdown will get the new Tag Team (members of an old NWA Stable), while RAW gets the two cartoony gimmicks. Who will they be? Find out at the Royal Rumble~! (lol)

WWE Smackdown Episode #3 (January 18th, 2004):

1. Legion Of Doom vs. Tommy Dreamer & Stevie Richards

A somewhat extended squashed, with the team of ECW guys getting some offense in now and then. The strength of the LOD was too much though and Animal was able to dispose of Dreamer with a running powerslam for the pinfall.

Winner(s): Legion Of Doom when Animal pinned Dreamer (4:29) *1/4

2. Chris Benoit (w/ Dynamite Kid) vs. Booker T (w/ Goldust)

A Good match overall, with Benoit working over Booker with submission holds to keep him grounded, while Booker used strike attacks. Goldust's constant intereference cost the rabid wolverine as Booker T was able to come up from behind with a roll-up to get the tainted victory.

Winner: Booker T via pinfall (7:24) ***

3. Tornado Six-Man Tag Team Match:

Worlds Greatest Tag Team & Rico Constantino vs. The Hurricane, Rosey, Billy Kidman

An all out brawl with six of the best midcarders on the Smackdown brand. The team of WGTT/Rico controlled most of the match, but Rosey kept his team alive in losing occasions. But the Worlds Greatest Tag Team wouldn't be denied as they trapped both Kidman & Hurricane in submission holds, with Hurricane tapping out to the Haas of Pain for the win.

Winner(s): Worlds Greatest Tag Team & Rico when Haas made Hurricane submit (8:32) **

4. Captains Fall Six-Man Tag Team Match:

Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Jushin Liger vs. Jim Duggan, Marty Jannetty, Bret Hart

More of the same kind of action from the earlier match. The Japanese crew kept the match at a fast pace, and Jushin Liger was able to make Jannetty submit to a beast choker at 5:20 making it a 3-2 match. Ultimo Dragon was able to put away captain Jim Duggan soon after with a high angle back suplex at 5:47 to pick up the victory.

Winner(s): Ultimo Dragon, Tajiri, Jushin Liger when Ultimo pinned Duggan (5:47) **

5. The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar

A Nice back and forth match, with both men hitting their finishers early without getting the win. Rock had the match won just about but Brock was able to reverse into an F5 for the quick victory.

Winner: Brock Lesnar via pinfall (5:55) *1/2

6. WWE-United States Championship Tournament Finals:

Rhyno vs. Kurt Angle

Rhyno exploded out of the corner with a vicious Gore to start the match, but Angle wasn't going to be beaten that easily. Angle used probably the smartest strategy ever, working over the surgically repaired neck of Rhyno with sleepers and rear choke holds until he passed out from the pain, giving Angle the win and title!

Winner & NEW United States Champion: Kurt Angle via knockout (5:14) **1/4

Match Of The Night: Chris Benoit vs. Booker T

So far totals:

World Life: (voting for every card) 70 points (+15, -10, +15, +15, +10, +25)

Royal Rumble will be the next card, and there will be no Velocity card this week.

WWE Royal Rumble (January 21st, 2004)

1. Sunday Night Heat Match:

Scotty Too Hotty vs. Mordecai (sub. for Jamie Noble)

A last minute substitution (all predictors get +10 for this match no matter what). Scotty was able to connect with his signature Tornado DDT in the early moments, but Mordecai kicked out at 1. Mordecai pummeled Scotty for a bit before putting him away with the Razor's Edge.

Winner: Mordecai via pinfall (2:17) 1/2*

2. "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka vs. Bam Bam Bigelow

Another quick match here that was more like a squash. Snuka dominated most of the contest, outside of a small Bigelow comeback. Snuka was able to put Bigelow down with a giant headbutt followed by the Superfly Splash from the top rope.

Winner: "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka via pinfall (2:48) 3/4*

3. Jushin "Thunder" Liger vs. Billy Kidman

A nice, but short, Cruiserweight match between two top contenders. The action spilled outside where Liger was able to hit the Ligerbomb, but sadly it wasn't Falls Count Anywhere. Kidman mounted a comeback and was able to put Liger away with a Shooting Star Press.

Winner: Billy Kidman via pinfall (7:29) **3/4

4. WWE-Smackdown Tag Team Championship Match:

The Stampede Bulldogs vs. Booker T & Goldust

Probably the most disapointing match of the night, as nothing really clicked well. Match turned into garbage brawling with chairs, leading up to a Booker T DDT on Dynamite Kid on a chair to pick up the Tag Team Straps.

Winner(s) and NEW Tag Team Champions: Booker T & Goldust when Booker pinned Dynamite (9:50) *

5. WWE-World Tag Team Championship Match:

The Undertaker & Kane vs. Evolution

The exact opposite of the previous match, with some great brawling and heat segments through out. Taker/Kane dominated the early stages of th contest, but Evolution was able to keep Kane in their corner and work him over. Batista hit an early powerbomb, but Kane wasn't done yet. Taker was able to get the tag in and clena house, but Kane came in too soon and was beaten around once more. Batista was able to hit the Batista-bomb once more and this was enough to finally put Kane away.

Winner(s) and NEW World Tag Team Champions: Evolution when Batista pinned Kane (18:26) ***

Since everyone else is copying my idea that I probably saw before, I will now be copying the idea of CM Funk. To add interest, I shall allow people to do predictions for points.

Predicting the correct winner of a regular match = 10 pts.

The incorrect prediction of a regular match = -10 pts.

Correct prediction for a Multi-person/Tag Match = 15 pts.

Incorrect prediction for a Multi-person/Tag Match = -15 pts.

Predicting the correct winner of a championship match = 25 pts.

Incorrect prediction for a Championship match = -25 pts.

Correctly predicting the winner of a Royal Rumble = 75 pts.

Correctly predicting every match of a card = 125 pts.

Incorrectly predicting every match of a card = -100 pts.

Points can be exchanged the following way =

50 pts - Select a title match for a RAW or SD

100 pts - Select matches for certain RAW or SD

125 pts - Select matches for RAW & SD for a certain week

150 points - Selecet the Title Matches for a PPV.

200 points - You select which matches happen at the next PPV.

250 points - Your own wrestler created into the game starting at 90 points.

I think the penalties for guessing incorrectly are a little too high. Statistically, they should cost at most half of what you would earn. That is, if you would get 15 points for guessing correctly, an incorrect guess should cost you 7 points, or less.

It has to be this way because the matches are decided by computer and not by a certain logic, otherwise no one will ever come close to hitting the 250 points.

I wouldn't say that.....in CM Funks booking, I got to 190 points in 2 shows, so it's all a matter of luck.
