Renegade 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Over the past week I have fallen in love with Konami's guitar freaks and have been spending an unhealthy amount of money on it. I managed to snag a 3rd party guitar and 2nd mix for the PS (which requires 1st mix, lucky me) and I was wondering if there are any PC simulators of the game where you can create your own levels using your own songs. I managed to find a few sites but seeing as they are all Japanese I couldnt make any sense out of it. Now I doubt I will get any help here but I thought I would give it a shot. Renegade 0 Report post Posted April 9, 2004 Guitar freaks is part of konami’s benami games (like Dance dance revolution or beatmania. Now I don’t know much about those games so I wont go into that.) It’s an arcade cabinet with two model guitars in which 1 or 2 people can play. The guitars have no strings but three buttons on the neck and a lever where you would strum. After selecting your song you have to play the tune by playing to correct notes in which you will be required to hold the right button/buttons and strum accourdingly. Also at certain parts in the song you can do a “wailing bonus” where you swing the guitar up while playing the notes. Songs go from pretty easy to insane and its addictive as crack. The games were also released for the PS and PS2 (on import) and a few model guitars were released, with the official konami version being the most expensive of them all.
