UseTheSledgehammerUh Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 So I burned files onto a CD-R disc. A 50-minute .WMV file of "The Monday Night War"...part 1 is this file. It copied successfully. Can it be played in my DVD player? I loaded the disc, and the display said "VCD Disc" and then the screen went black. I would think I'd have to download onto a blank DVD disc...and thus have a DVD burned (which I think the computer has), but I've been told burning onto the CD-R would work. What are the steps I need to take?
Internet Warfare Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 I dont think video files from CD-R disc's will play on DVD players.
eiker_ir Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 you first have to turn the files into MPEGs, here's a site that tells how to do everything. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/
Guest theoldxpac Posted April 13, 2004 Report Posted April 13, 2004 If your dvd player play VCDs, then they work.
