MrRant 0 Report post Posted April 17, 2004 Xbox Live will be experiencing some downtime soon for the ongoing Tsunami update. The information was recently revealed (registration required) in the official Xbox forums. The downtime, which will take place on Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at 6:01am(PT), is expected to last for 24 hours at which time Xbox.com including their forums may be unavailable intermittently. The much talked about Tsunami update will be partly implemented at this time and will see some, but not all of the new features put to use. "It is important to understand that this is the first step as we lay the foundation for the exciting features that are included in this upgrade. It’s also important to note that not all features will be available after the upgrade, and most will not be visible until game developers decide to implement specific features into their titles. Additionally, the MSN messenger integration that you have read about is not included in this release, and will be coming after this upgrade. I don’t know the date yet, as there is still messenger work that needs to be done once we get this first step of the upgrade live," as stated by the XBox Live Director of Programming. http://www.broadbandreports.com/shownews/42437 Eh..
