Yup, Jeff Weaver's younger brother Jered is dominating college ball. 118 Ks, 11 BBs, 40 Hits, 9 earned runs in 80 2/3 IP. He'll likely be the first pick in the June Amateur draft.

 

On a side note, it may be a crazy undertaking, but would anyone be interested in an MLB Mock Amateur Draft?

As I've found out, most people here don't even follow their own teams minor leagues, let alone college baseball or the draft.

Because it is? Atleast in my view. But I guess when you're a fan of the Yankees, I can understand why......Right.

I tried to follow the minors last year. It was quite depressing. We don't have any trade bait left.

I follow the SB/Wilkes-Barre Red Barons because they're the closest team to my home.

 

And Yankees prospects to watch: Eric Duncan. Rudy Guillen. Dioner Navarro.

I first found out about Wever a few weeks ago when the cameras pointed him out during a Padre game. He is going to be a great addition when the padres get him (hopefully). He will add more young talent to the core of Lawrence, Peavy, and Eaton, under the guidance of David Wells.
