I don't necessarily agree with Undertaker at all, especially since he's only been on TV 3 times since the year started.

 

I think Eddie Guerrero winning a world title qualifies more than that, for sure.

Only a little more than three months is hard to pick since theres only BEEN a few note-worthy news. I'll say Mick Foley coming out of retirement since no one else has yet.

I just don't think the Austin thing is really big news. It's not like he was a really integral part of Raw or anything. His best days were already long behind him.

I think Eddy's winning the title is #1 for me.

 

Brock leaving is #2..people leave all the time. How often do sub-6 foot ultra talented workers get to the top following overcoming real life setbacks?

Eddy winning the title isn't nearly as big as Benoits..

 

For four reasons

 

1). Eddy Won a Minor PPV, Benoit won at the biggest stage in wrestling admist the biggest hype ever

 

2). Eddy was clearly being groomed for the title, Benoit was always in Doubt because of the two other guys in the program.

 

3). Eddy had a market for him, the latino market. Benoit has a market that doesn't really exist (the wrestling fanatics)...

 

4). Eddy went over someone who just fresh from running from Bob Sparky Plugg Thurman Holly...Benoit went over two guys who combine for 13 world title reigns (9 for HHH and 4 for Shawn) and are the two best politicians in the game.

Before you start bitching and moaning about the Undertaker being in there, SOME of us like to suspend belief on occassion while we are being entertained. I swear if it were up to most of you , Paul London and Spanky would be World Champion and WWE Champion respectively.

-Lesnar/GB/Austin departing (3 HUGE names in the wrestling business)

-Draft lottery (Should put a twist on things for the nest few years)

-HHH putting people over (Let's face it...he has the power to make anyone a superstar. Good to see he's looking credible)

-Foley/Orton angle (Played out to perfection, and I stand by that)
