Question about burning music CDs

I've got a HP CD-writer and use the bundled software to burn my CDs. I haven't had troubles with it until I noticed something with a non-stop CD I was trying to burn. I try burning an exact copy of the CD but the copy always cuts the final 2 or 3 seconds of each track. Instead of a seamless transition between tracks, there's the annoying cut-off, the lead-in silence, and the next track.

 

Anybody know if it's the burner, software or the way I'm burning my CD? (I always choose "Make an exact copy") Give me a hand here because I want my non-stop CDs to actually be non-stop.
