THE OPINION OF WHOBETTA? LOVE IT, OR HATE IT...

B.J. Whitmer d. Ace Steele (***)

Before the match, Jay and Mark Briscoe laid out Steele with a spike Jay Driller. Whitmer got the pin with Exploder '98 suplex. I thought this was a solid opening match. I dont know why people are so flat about Whitmer.

The Carnage Crew of Justin Credible & Masada d. Delirious & Shawn Daivari (**)

It was what it was. Justin NEEDS some saliva control. The match wasn't too long, so they couldn't show too much, but I wasnt too impressed with Diavari (I did pop for the Flying Carpet thing though)

Chad Collyer d. John Walters (***)

Great Technical Match. Walters is a great asshole. Crowd was mostly into the match. Walters was waiting for his cab (which was late) after the show. He asked if anyone could give him a ride, I offered, but then the cab showed up. That coulve been a good story, oh well.

Nigel McGuiness d. Jimmy Rave and Austin Aries and Rocky Romero (**1/2)

After the match Rocky reluctantly shook hands and left with his tag team partner. Nigel gets Rave (i believe) to tap to some nifty armbar/leglock maneuver. Crowd was REALLY into Austin. This was my first time seeing him, I was impressed. Rave got busted open in his mouth hardaway, not too bad though. Someone buy this kid a new gimmick, its the only thing keeping him down.

Homicide d. Bryan Danielson. (****)

GREAT MATCH!!! We could have sworn this one was going to go the whole 60 allowed. Homicide gets the duke after a STIFF lariat/clothesline (whichever). Before during and after the match there were some guys calling Homicide, Homocide. Homicide threw the ring bell at them a couple times, hit one of 'em with a chair (after tope con hilo, which he didnt kill himself on) And basically punked 'em out bigtime.

INTERMISSION.

Ricky Reyes defeated Danny Daniels. (**1/2)

Danny is very solid, hope to continue to see him in ROH. Ricky wasn't too great here, seen better in his tag team work.

Jack Evans-Matt Sydal defeated The Carnage Crew, The Ring Crew Express, and Alex Shelley-Jimmy Jacobs (***1/2)

Jack Evans, what can I say. Gets the pin on Devito after a 540 or 630 (couldnt count, alot of rotation though)somersault double legdrop. IN-FUCKING-SANE!!! Sydal and Evans were led to the ring by IWA-MS's Daizee Haze. Devito seemed a little blown up, but kept up fine in the match. Great match. Dunn and Marcos arent too bad. After the match (to my ultimate delight) Shelley goes to help Jacobs up but kicks him back down. Shelley vs. Jacobs = MONEY!!!!

Samoa Joe defeated Matt Stryker (**1/2)

Crowd was still buzzing after Scramble match. Kinda burnt out for this match. At one point Stryker reversed the Ole Kick, but ended up getting two for his troubles a bit later. Stryker tapped to a Joe armbar. Great defense for Joe, glad hes still got the belt. Seen much better from both though.

CM Punk-Colt Cabana defeated The Briscoes (***)

It seems the Briscoes have gotten a tad lazy. As Mark is getting plastered by Cabana, Jay is supposed to be down in the corner, he is... but hes kicked back with his elbow leaning on his knee, wide eyed, watching... SELL SELL SELL DAMMIT!!!!!! Great match anyhoo. Punk gets the pin after a DANGEROUS Pepsi Plunge. Briscoe (forgot which one) appeared to have landed on the side/back of his head...HOLY SHIT! Other cool spot was when Punk was up on Briscoe's shoulders and the other Briscoe went for Doomsday Device, but Punk caught him and delivered a powerslam off Briscoes shoulders. Great choice as the main event.

OVERALL it was an excellent night. Interesting to notice that Becky Bayless had signed the souvenier posters, although she wasn't on the show. Also on the posters, they had the old card (with Styles/Daniels and Raven/Credible/Lynn) which reminded me... FUCK TNA!! Anyhoo, no PUBLIC sign of Billy Corgan, but there was an empty seat next to me.... could have been... Return was announced for July doubleshot for Death Before Dishonor II.

Chant of the night: (in response to "Where's my Slurpee" at Diavari) "You're a Racist" (clap) (clap) (clap clap clap)

Quote of the night: (Samoa Joe) "Is Joe gonna have to choke a bitch?"

Match of the night: Danielson/Homicide

Results from the ROHWrestling boards, so the ratings may be a little biased.
