Forrest Gump appeared more Dim than retarded it didn't seem like he had a Mental handicap, he was just Dumb.

I realized the beauty of the Eugene gimmick while watching Backlash at Famous Players movie theatre last weekend (hooray for the death of the HU cards forcing me to pay to watch PPV!) Anyway, the marks ate him up, while the mentally handicapped individual a few rows up didn't comprehend he should have been offending her.

I work with a group of mentally handicapped kids, and one of our kids is a huge WWE mark. I kind of question why his mother allows him to watch it, but nonetheless, I always get great mark feedback from talking to him. When Eugene debuted, I was fairly sure that this kid would get offended by it. However, he found it hilarious, not even realizing who the joke was on at the time.

That's when I realized it was okay to enjoy the gimmick as I had been.

Who compared Eugene to Forrest Gump?

PE, that's great that that kid doesn't find it offensive, nor does his mother. It's usually just people looking for something to bitch about, not unlike the PTC. (Best. Book Chapter. Ever.)
