Details On New WWE Writer

Recommended Posts

Going back to an earlier response, the first Steph show was that one PPV where HHH dropped from that car, but I'm drawing a blank on it. Basically it was ushering in a whole bunch of Hollywood storylines that have for the most part sucked. Here's hoping this new guy can help stop that trend.

Kreski was always overrated I thought. Some of the biggest bonehead booking decisions in recent history happened during his run (HHH retaining at WM 2000, the flop ending to the love triangle, etc.) but to give him the benefit I dunno what he had in mind before politics entered into it.

The match quality was better but for a more entertaining era I prefer the Austin 98 stuff under....Russo. Heh.

I'm tired of people saying that Triple H going over at WM2000 was a BAD thing...

It was creative and genius at the time and still stands out as a WM Moment...Not every movie has a happy ending...I liked that The heel left the show STILL the champion...it shook up the previously old and boring fourmula of the Face always triumphing in the end. Nowadays we can't be so sure if the heel will walk out the champion or not...People were still wary if HHH would actually drop the title to Benoit...Austin by techiticality did walk out a heel in WMX7 as well...

He didn't finish the love triangle angle because he quit the company before he could finish it...

The WM 2000 ending was a brillant idea...and as Choken One pointed out it shook things up, because not every Wrestlemania had to have a face always triumphing in the end....The ending was full of twist and turns you could tell it was from a Hollywood writer :P

Of course not every writer is going to be the perfect one....he made plenty of mistakes as alll writers will do, and not every angle they propose isn't always going to be the best....

My only thought was that...Just imagine if kreski understood the business and the history...

He approached this like a TV SHOW (which it is) and made those characters like that..imagine if he had just a tiny bit of knowledge about the nuances that make wrestling so good...

He had the best idea though that seemingly no one until whoever is at the helm now ever got...let the wrestlers...WRESTLE and that'll do it all.

Exactly....and the matches were very good at that....

I use to refer to his style as "crash tv version II"....where there was a balance of entertainment and some good old wrestling on top...

And on the subject of the new WWE writer..lets just hope that he doesn't become one of the sheeps in the creative room....but if he doesn't then he will probaly end up on the unemployment line because you dont' step on McMahon's toe....Heyman is an example of what happens when you cross the boss...

Yep...Aside from The Angle/Austin skits (which i believe were mostly ad-lib)...Only Kreski's shit with Foley and E&C has been funny...until now with Eugene (esp with the HHH Water bottle)

Kreski's Head Cheese stuff was gold.

I really don't care who's writing the show, but it's getting good. Call it sweeps, call it fantastic booking, whatever. The show was awesome last night, and next week's sounds even better. Christian and Y2J in a cage match? Sweet. Reminds me of the RVD/X ladder match...it was just out of the blue.

RAW has been good...the bits I have seen..I never watch the entire show anymore...

SI82...Kreski was the creative supervior/director of the WWE Creative Team...so in other words he had his hand in anything that dealt with creative...that includes booking, writing, and other stuff involved...
