Scroby Posted May 3, 2004 Report Posted May 3, 2004 Hey I remember hearing something about japanese wrestlers that when they reach a certain status in wrestling they become the great something then later on they become Gran something. How does that work again if thats true?

And I only saw stuff sayin that Hamada started out as Gran upon debut so I think its just a name

Ace309 Posted May 4, 2004 Report Posted May 4, 2004 Hamada and Muta got their Gran/Great monikers without doing anything in particular for them. I've never heard Rikidozan or Tsuruta referred to as Great or Gran. The story doesn't seem to work at all.
