Guest treble charged Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Here's another one, a HHH one from Dec. '99: "The last Raw of the new millennium.... the last Raw before a new millennium." He sure does screw up a lot.
Guest art_vandelay Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 LOL @ "Bizzarre" and all the other ones. Can't forget this monumental fuck-up: "Tonight, not only is Raw Is War being broadcasted on TNN, but it is also being broadcasted on TNN; Turner National Television." ??? If you like Michael Cole, then you would LOVE SmackDown!: Just Bring It. MC: "This..... singles match..... will be a.... great match." MC: "The Last Ride..... The Last Ride." Tazz: "Angry stomp."
Guest mickberna Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 COLE: "And a beautiful fisherman's suplex..." TAZZ: "That's a Northern Lights suplex, stupid!"
Guest Tiger Suplex 85 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Hogan having trouble with the past tense of "hanging and banging": Hogan: I've hung, and I've bung..... JR's commentary on a Mark Henry/Ahmed Johnson match: JR: Henry handling the big Johnson!
Guest converge241 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 This is the Sid Honorary Award without a doubt. There are so many bad ones, especially from the last stint in WCW. My favorite: "To be the man, youve got to be the man" One exception to the Sid rule is one that Austin or Rock made a while back and it always confused the hell out of me. It was a long interview before a pay-per-view match and the rambling involved include a line that went nowhere- "Mankind is also a Kind Man" anybody remember this?
Guest cabbageboy Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Yeah the Austin quote on Mankind was odd but not really that terrible. My fave from Sid: "You cannot be the master....of the master!!!" What the fuck?! I need to see Rumble 97 for the Bulldog "bizarre!" comment. Methinks the roids were going to his head at that point. Bulldog is one of my favorite wrestlers ever, but god the man had no mic skills. I don't remember half of these Cole lines....mostly because I ignore him to begin with I suppose.
Guest dmos1 Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 At the beginning of the Austin-Hart fued, "Stone Cold" said: "Bret you keep saying that you've been screwed by Vince McMahon, you've been screwed by the fans --- well you ain't been screwed until you been screwed by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin!" If that was the intended blowoff for their fued, it's no wonder Bret left the WWF.
Guest Breaking Point Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 Micheal Cole at Wrestlemania XV: "Hell in a Cell is so dangerous, you could get a finger caught in there." All the interviews on WCW Worldwide, where everyone would be really bored and just spew random stuff. Those were great.
Guest WWF4Life Posted March 2, 2002 Report Posted March 2, 2002 I thought it was funny when Sid was in WCW for his last run, he kept ripping off guys in the WWF. First he was the Millenium Man, then he kept saying "Gimme a Hell YEAH!!" What a tool...
Guest Redhawk Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Don't forget Sid's punchline for every promo: "Mama said, it BEES like that someTIME!"
Guest Croooooow! Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 "You want me, Hennig? You got me, baby. Take about, mmm, two three minutes to get on my garb, and I'm gonna get in the ring, and I'm gonna get in your BUTT. It ain't gonna take long Hennig." I was scarred for life by that one. Also factor in that the interview was on WCWSN and had that techno beat in the background at all times. It felt like gay porn.
Guest Wheat Cracker Experience Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Step in the ring with the Genius and you will come in second place. . . if you're lucky. -The Genius, June 2000
Guest One Bad Apple Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Don't forget Sid's punchline for every promo: "Mama said, it BEES like that someTIME!" I only remember him saying that once. It was something to the effect of, "And as they say around here ... mama said ... IT JUST BEES LIKE DAT SOME-TAHMES!!" I think the crowd actually said it along with him, so blame them. Another good Sid quote was this one time they ran a "Sid's not in the build yet!" angle. Not exact, but here it is: "I'm sorry I'm late ... they told me to take a right at the McDonald's ... and a left at the Wendy's ... but I took a right at the Wendy's ... and here I am."
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Bash At The Beach 1996 (Two camera angles are used for the Nasties-Public Enemy Match) Dusty Rhodes- "It's dah double-trouble-bash-at-a-beach-bubble!!!" SmackDown ! October 99 Rock 'N Sock vs. Venis & Bulldog-- Mankind brings tray of dog shit to the ring, Rock Rockbottoms Smith into it. Michael Cole- "THE POOP, THE POOP, THE POOP, DID YOU SEE THAT?!?! THE POOP."
Guest HellSpawn Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Triple H, to Cactus Jack in Feb. 2000: "At No Way Out, Hell in a Cell, I will end your 15-year career! I will END ... YOUR ... CAREER! And ... it will be over." Man, all this bad quotes are really great. Oh and about HHH Feb2K, I think he said that because in RR 2K the "schedulled" match was HHH vs Mankind, but HHH beat him in his Mankind persona (on Raw) and then he bring back Cactus, then HHH beat Cactus, and Foley came with mmm... Mick Foley, so in resume, HHH said that to avoid another Foley persona to return.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 "A Sickening Thud"-Micheal Cole
Guest Super Guest Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Just now on Excess, a video aired on Maven. Coach: "What a nice package on Maven"
Guest Redhawk Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Remember the Chyna-Lita segment where Lita challenged Chyna to a match? Lita: "You know, I was, like, thinking ... that maybe you could give me a match. No, I'm serious. I wanna face you, um, for the Women's title, at, um, Judgment Day." Chyna: "Well, your fanny's gonna be a little red in the morning." Not the exact quote, but that entire segment was brutal.
Guest Flyboy Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 When Dusty was a butcher, and he was cutting a vignette I think... It went something like: "You sure can't beat my prices or... beat my meat." I don't know how it really went, but it was something along those lines. Actually, I found it more funny than it was bad...
Guest JHawk Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Back in the days where WCW Worldwide would air a week later on the Prime Network as "WCW Prime" (clever huh), Dusty Rhodes would introduce the main event as the "Moo Match of the Week" and actually moo before the match. I also remember a PPV (SuperBrawl VII?) where Woman low blowed Kevin Sullivan and Dusty yelled "SHE KICKED HIM IN HIS THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING! SHE KICKED HIM IN THE THING, TONY!"
Guest The Paul Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 "At No Way Out, Hell in a Cell, I will end your 15-year career! I will END ... YOUR ... CAREER! And ... it will be over." Did anyone else notice that almost the exact quote made it into No Mercy for the 64?
Guest Youth N Asia Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 DUSTY: "YOU may be able to beat my prices...you chu can't beat my meat" I think that may be an exact quote. Macho Man, opening gifts at the wedding reception after SUmmer Slam 91..."Oh Yeah! A blender, I can use this!" Then...Kurt's F Bomb Angle with Rock in the anklelock "Tap out you son of a bitch! Do it now!...I'll break your fucking ankle!"
Guest Blue Bacchus Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Basically anything Tony S. said on Nitro. My Favs are: "They're not gonna stop till they kill someone!" "Steven Regal, We had to carry your ass..." (Something close to that on the final Nitro)
Guest cabbageboy Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Ok, most of these are funny as hell, but the Schiavone one where he was making fun of Foley was just BAD. "Mick Foley...who wrestled here as Cactus Jack...is going to win their world title. Yeah like that will put asses in seats." I actually taped Nitro that night and had no net access at home back then, so I didn't know about Foley winning until actually watching Raw. It was great.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 KOTR 98 after Shammy wins the tourney- JR: SHAMROCK! SHAMROCK! SHAMROCK! SHAMROCK! HHH: Go ahead- why dont you say his name a few more times
Guest Army Eye Posted March 3, 2002 Report Posted March 3, 2002 Schiavone; he LITERALLY took his head off with that clothesline! (and about 1,000 other such lines)
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 4, 2002 Report Posted March 4, 2002 (Wrestler X executes any move other than a gut-wrench suplex.) Tony- "Did you see that gut-wrench suplex?"
Guest TJM004 Posted March 4, 2002 Report Posted March 4, 2002 (someone uses a gut-wrench suplex) Tony: SIDEWALK SLAM! (someone uses a piledriver) Tony: SIDEWALK SLAM! (someone usues a sidewalk slam) Tony: Gut Wrench Suplex!
Guest Posted March 28, 2002 Report Posted March 28, 2002 bump to see if anyone wants add anything else.
