Guest Evolution Report post Posted May 5, 2004 The SWF Week In Review segment with John Duran is continuing, as the cameras remain rolling to collect any material possible in the days leading up to John Duran's next match, which is currently against Danny Williams for John's World Heavyweight title. This is the day after Duran learned of his match with Williams, so the material is somewhat delayed in that respect. Right now, Duran and James Matheson are currently sitting in the back of a limo, the other Unnamed members strangely absent, especially considering that Duran and Matheson are on their way to a luncheon. Having just had his neck looked at by a specialist, Duran can't seem to get his mind off of it, keeping his right hand on it and just looking at the window. While the Notorious One seems to be somewhat bored, Matheson is working up a storm--in fact, he's currently on his cell phone. "Commissioner Zenon, I can't describe just how wrong it is to allow Mr. Duran to step in the ring with Mr. Williams," Matheson speaks into the phone, and then listens to the response on the other line, obviously from the interim commissioner himself. "Yes, I understand he beat John Duran in the past, but shouldn't he have to win a number one contender's match?" Matheson looks up at the camera on the other side of the limo, and then looks back down, listening intently. "Yes, he's a former champion, I understand that, but..." "Commissioner Zenon, I don't think I need to remind you that my client Mr. Duran has more problems than Mr. Williams," Matheson quickly changes the subject. "Nathaniel Kibagami threatened him on Storm! How can he wrestle a heavyweight championship match with that on his mind?" ... "No, Commissioner, you don't need to remind me about your problems with Mr. Kibagami, but this is a completely different situation! There is a championship at stake, Duran's neck is in danger, and this maniac--" Suddenly, Duran lashes out, grabbing the cell phone and pitching it across the limo, barely missing the cameraman as he barely moves out of the way of the flying communication device. "FORGET IT!" Matheson is in shock, turning to the angered face of Duran, glaring a hole through Matheson. "I'm fighting Danny Williams on Wednesday, I'm putting my title on the line, and that's final! The more you argue about it, the less time I have to prepare for him, James! SO DROP IT." Matheson is stunned into silence, gulping and then finding something to say. "Absolutely, Mr. Duran. Absolutely." Duran sneers at Matheson again, and then looks out the window as the limo begins to slow, going back to the massage of his aching neck. "But what about Mr. Kibagami--" "Later. We'll worry about him later." Anger seems to be absolutely boiling inside of Duran, the camera only able to see so much as the limo finally comes to a stop in front of an unknown restaurant. "This is our stop, John," Matheson speaks to the champion, humbled, and Duran once again shoots a look to his agent/manager/lawyer. Both men open their doors as the camera is cut off.
