Guest Your Olympic Hero Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Next week's Raw TV show already has 5 well-planned matches that I really want to see coming this Monday. A blowoff to Christian/Jericho, the third HHH/Benjamin match, Edge gets a shot at Orton, Eugene debuts in the ring, and Batista attempts revenge at Tajiri after being misted. And this isn't even the PPV that they are doing a good slow build toward. Smackdown's PPV that is 10 days away only has 3 matches announced, none of which I give a flying fuck about. Even though Taker is nothing but a side-show attraction now, and Booker T needs a strong win to cement his heel status... Taker will squash Booker in an extremely shitty match. JBL gives Mama Guerrero a fake ass heart attack and we are supposed to care since Mother's Day is coming up. Who has JBL beaten lately? Paul London under a mask? And finally, John Cena defends the US title against Rene Dupree. Both of these guys still need someone to carry them to a good match. And what's the issue here anyway? And right off the top of my head, I can't even think of the PPV's name.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Exactly. It's a fucking out rage that Raw is so fucking ass kicking right now with so many great matches and logical fun angles that not only make sense but interwine multiple people. Look at Raw HHH-Orton-Flair-Batisia-Shawn-Benoit-Jericho-Edge-Benjamin-Tajiri-Christian are all interwined within each other... Don't forget you have Eugene and Regal and Le Resistance bringing the funny... Any of those Five matches(save for the eugene match) would be PRIME main events and they are all happening on the same night. That's a fucking PPV Card right there...if you throw in a Shawn/Benoit match for good measure. Raw this monday could very well trump The two non Mania/Rumble ppvs we have had thus far. I'm curious to see how they script next week How long will the matches be and all. I say give three (Edge/Orton, Cage and Benj/HHH) matches 10-15 each...Eugene/Conway 5 minutes and Tajiri/Bat about 7 minutes. Throw in a couple Eugene comedy skits...a couple Bischoff/Nitro skits and the Hihiroto debut as well...and we got a prime fucking show.

Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Sad thing is, could they even book 5 kick ass matches for an episode of Smackdown? Ultimo Dragon vs. Rey Mysterio Rob Van Dam vs. Eddie Guerrero Uh...I've got nothing left. How pitiful.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Mysterio Vs Knoble Chavo Vs London Dudleyz Vs Rico/Haas-Table (fun spot match) RVD Vs Eddy Guerrero thats all I got.
Tawren 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Noble vs London Rey vs Chavo Eddie vs Haas RVD vs Shannon Moore Booker T vs John Cena Maybe not the build that Raw has done for this weeks Raw, but definitely better quality-wise.

Stephanie: Paul WHO? Ultimo WHAT? Rey McMEXICAN? No, we need...um...YOU! Yeah, Jacqueline! That'll work swell. Argh. I could probably imagine that happening. Let's see Ultimo Dragon is a bad worker, and they don't have anything for Rey Jr., so they give JACQUELINE THE CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE! I seriously do NOT understand the logic behind this, then I am reminded of AndrewTS' (?) signature..."WWE Logic: The Complete and exact opposite of common sense"
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted May 7, 2004 We're lucky Raw's been awesome as of late, I mean, it could be worse, imagine if both shows were this bad...
Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 7, 2004 We're lucky Raw's been awesome as of late, I mean, it could be worse, imagine if both shows were this bad... I didn't give up on RAW during the height of the Necrophillia angle. If I can survive THAT, I can survive anything WWE pushes on us.
jester 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 Quick survey...how many people want to see an end to the split roster now? My guess not too many. The suckiness of Smackdown would spread and weigh Raw down.
Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Quick survey...how many people want to see an end to the split roster now? My guess not too many. The suckiness of Smackdown would spread and weigh Raw down. Plus we would never see guys like Paul London or Jamie Noble again. I'm thinking they should just move some guys to Smackdown, but the WWE has already said they don't want to right now. Raw is so much better than Smackdown right now, it's ridiculous. It's like they stopped caring about it after the draft lottery or something.
reign 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 What I can't figure out is why won't they use the cruisers on SD! for crying out loud...I mean when Raw sucked they didn't have 8 or 9 guys sitting in the back that most people haven't really seen and that could come out any night of the week and give ***** star matches...so Raw traded and traded and drafted and started booking good matches until they became the better show..not so much because they took guys from SD! but because they really got a lot of people involved in good matches...all of those guys are fun to watch now...but SD! has to show uninteresting house show footage TWICE and then just to spite us all on this very website they practiclly destroy the only title that could have worth something on that damn show...if they would just let the cruisers go at it a few times on prime time television instead of when I'm out getting drunk on Saturday nights that show wouldn't just be okay to watch it would be equal or better than Raw...it just seems like Vince and Stephanie want to use all the shit angles left over from WCW but leave out the only thing that made that dead company stand out... Guest Man Of 1,004 Modes Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Quick survey...how many people want to see an end to the split roster now? My guess not too many. The suckiness of Smackdown would spread and weigh Raw down. End the brand split and everyone on Velocity & Sunday Night Heat will never be on T.V. again. The WWE roster is just too big to have just one group of people to be on every show. This was a little problem back in 2001 too, as the likes of people like Kaientai, Too Cool, K-Kwik, Tiger Ali Singh, Dlo Brown, Chaz, Jerry Lynn, Perry Saturn, and a host of others were regulated to Metal/Jakked duty. Guest Choken One Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Quite frankly...I wouldn't mind if the kept 10 of the good smackdown workers (Eddy, Show, Cena, Mysterio, Chavo, RVD, Booker, Haas, Dupree and 'Taker) and then cut the rest of the sd roster even the CW's because clearly they don't intend to use them...so why not just down your salary payments...and sent those 10 to raw. There's nothing to worry about because TNA is dying and the time slot won't save them and wwe reject/castoffs haven't made ANY impact yet...why would Jamie Knoble and Paul London be a impact when Raven and D'Lo weren't. The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 A few people seem to forget that Ultimo isn't with the company anymore. I'd rather see a human head on a stick with the cruiserweight title right now. Anything is better than the "champ" they have now.

Guest sanyo Report post Posted May 8, 2004 One word- Goldberg!!! Goldberg vs. Taker would draw...the dead man vs. a guy who is undefeated. If they gave it a good push it would be a great feud. Bring back Raven and with a good push he could be a main event guy. We'll see what happens with Morcedi. When Kurt comes back, there's your top heel. Push the fast-paced Cruiserweight division and you got something.
