FBI agents have arrested a US lawyer as part of the investigation into the deadly train bombings in Spain. Brandon Mayfield of Portland, Oregon, was taken into custody on Thursday. It is the first known arrest in the US connected to the March 11 bombings in Madrid, in which 191 people were killed and another 2,000 were injured. The father-of-three, thought to be aged 37, was arrested under a material witness warrant, which allows authorities to detain the suspect without charge indefinitely. According to reports he is an military man who has converted to Islam.

 

Well, this certainly puts the cat amongst the pigeons. Before the usual suspects let rip, I am NOT "flame baiting". This is an interesting story that I feel needs discussion. I find it disturbing IF this guy is repsonsible or connected to the terrorist attack in Spain. It also rasises the question how many other Americans are working for terrorist groups?

If he's involved in the train bombing, fuck him.

 

Seeing how America has 250-300 million people living within its borders, I'd imagine a few of them could be terrorists...
