The Amazing Rando 0 Report post Posted May 7, 2004 The Wayward Son Tour Bus works its way across the country once more, this time on it’s way back to California and Smarkdown, which is only a few days away. The Sons sit across from each other, Alan tuning his guitar and Coy shining up his championship belt. Both seem preoccupied, but Alan is the first to realize the camera happens to be recording. “What do you want now?” Alan asks, and a mumbling from the camera’s operator is heard. “Oh, well of course we both have matches…two very important matches. I get my chance to regain the cruiserweight championship, and Coy gets to injure the Disciple just like he did to Todd Royal.” Alan smiles and Coy looks up from his belt. “Hey. I wasn’t trying to injure the guy, but he deserved it. It’s not my fault he has a weak neck.” “Well you know Landon has a pretty weak neck too. Always has. And I’m sure it’s still stinging a bit from Battleground.” “I’ll bet.” “It’s going to be a great night. Maddix needs taught a little wayward lesson. We would look pretty good holding gold around both our waists. I won’t get my chance for a few days, but I don’t see any of those guys as that big of a threat, except the champion himself.” “Yeah, Johnny doesn’t exactly give you good luck.” “Shut up. You can’t win them all.” “Yes I can.” “Fine, whatever. But walking into Smarkdown and having to get in the ring with Jacob Helmsley…that ought to be fun. And the other two guys, Luchador and Sly, I have never faced either of them.” “That’s going to be a good match right there.” “Why do you say that?” “It’s like the four year veteran against the four week veteran!” The two share a little laugh over the thought. “Yeah, exactly. But with a shot at that cruiserweight gold, I can’t make any mistakes. I won’t make any mistakes. And you know what…” “What?” “Maybe after we have a bit of singles gold…we can go after those shiny tag team titles…” “I was thinking the same thing the other night, until that chair nearly knocked me out.” “How do you think I felt?! I was dropped straight on my head! I’m surprised I got up!” “I’m not. Shit, you got nearly killed by Thugg and you were walking around the next day.” “I think I got lucky there.” Alan retorts, and Coy can only nod in return. Coy goes back to shining his belt and Alan speaks one final thought as the scene fades out… “…who knows…but Landon and Jacob better be prepared…” ~ Wayward Son Pride ~
