Guest Real F'n Show Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Thank You May 7, 2004 I don't know what to say apart from thank you. I received in the neighbourhood of one thousand e-mail since posting news of my In-Ring retirement. Your out reach of encouragement and support has been amazing and I am very grateful. Most of you weren't sure if I would even read them, but took the time to write them just the same. Let me assure you, I read them all. Yes, I've done a ton of reading lately. To be honest a few of the real long ones I skimmed through but I opened and read each one. I was genuinely touched by the emotion and care you put into your letters. Many of you included your favourite "Storm" moments and matches and these were the most fun to read. I was amazed at how many corresponded with my own. You brought back so many great memories, that I can't thank you enough for the trip down memory lane. I hope to find the time now to actually sit back and watch back some of my career on tape. I received mail from all over the world, this week, which was amazing, Beleese, Australia, Germany, Austria, Egypt, China, Japan, Brazil, and Iraq (Americans in Iraq but that is even more amazing) as well as likely every State and Province. The global reach of this industry and this website is astonishing. Likely my favourite part of all the letters are those of you who singed them as "StormTroopers" Many were signed "StormTrooper 4 Life", and others "StormTropper since --" and then the year they became a fan. You all have a special place in my heart, thank you. There are a few questions that came up in your letters too, which I will try to deal with this week. First and foremost everyone has been asking about the TNA rumours started by Dave Scherer. I know Dave, or at least did. I haven't talked to him a long time (He worked with ECW.COM) and trust me when I tell you he was just taking educated guesses and was speculating, which he pretty much stated himself. For those of you who missed his piece. Dave speculated that since many guys are sent to OVW before being let go that I could be being terminated and that I would not move to OVW and be away from my family. He then went on to say that TNA officials have claimed that you have not seen the last Lance Storm match. I guess I can't guarantee that WWE isn't planning to let me go, but I am certainly not under that impression. I was the one to initiate my stepping out of the ring, and I actually want to go to OVW, which in and of itself is different from all past cases. As for the road schedule, my wife and I actually worked this out. When the OVW gig was put on the table, my wife and I set up a schedule we could live with and thought WWE could live with and it is that schedule I am currently working under. I am basically doing 2 weeks in and 1 week out. I'm away roughly the same amount of days as before, but my days home are in bigger (more useful) chunks and with the way we have the weekends falling, I am actually home more weekends than I am away, which is HUGE. I have kids, one in grade two and the other in preschool. Having weekends off instead of weekdays, doubles my time with my kids, and will allow my wife and I do things with friends as a couple. Dave should have looked into how my OVW schedule was laying out before posting his piece. As for TNA and not seeing my last match. I did say "never say never", but I assure you I don't currently have any plans with or for TNA. If WWE were to release me that would certainly be an option I would look at but my focus is strictly OVW at this point. A lot of you also asked if I will be working on camera for OVW. I do not plan on working on camera, but this has never actually come up or been discussed. There is always that possibility but I wouldn't hold your breath. This is going to be it for this week. I'm in OVW now and am still trying to get settled. I hope to have a few thoughts on my start here for you soon, as well as my first "Looking Back" at my career commentary. All the best, Lance At least the guy's happy now, although I wouldn't mind seeing him in TNA along with Tommy Dreamer.

Guest I Got Banned for Sucking Report post Posted May 8, 2004 Nice commentary, and who knows, maybe now WWE's OVW imports will have more in their moveset than a dropkick and a crossbody.

Styles 0 Report post Posted May 8, 2004 I'm still a mark for Team Canada, still one of the bright spots of WCW 2000. Especially when he had 3 titles, Elix Skipper, Major Gunns, Canadian Killa Mike Awesome, EVIL HACKSAW~!, Jacque Rougeou, and Carl Oulette at one point all part of his entourage and one special edorsement by Bret Hart. Just awesome. Too bad he spent most of his time fueding with the Misfits in Action though...
