Vern Gagne 0 Report post Posted May 20, 2004 Also, what doesn't help that due to some height restrictions, the Academies also can not bring in huge 6-7 O-Linemen/ If they have height restrictions, why was 7-foot-1 David Robinson allowed to go to/play for the Naval Academy? I know Robinson was deemed too tall to do some things military-wise, but he could still train to be an officer. David Robinson wasn't 7-1 when he entered the Naval Academy. He grew like 6 inches his first year there. No reason why Army and Navy shouldn't be on par with Air Force in football. Air Force isn't Miami, but their usually a 7-8 win team every year, and finish in the top half of the Mt. West.
