Guest Salacious Crumb Posted May 23, 2004 Report Posted May 23, 2004 - Diamond Dallas Page was laughed at by many behind his back at the Judgment Day PPV for giving unsolicited advice to Mordecai prior to his debut match. DDP was also seen talking to Johnny Ace which led guys to speculate that he is looking for work. Yeah screw him for giving advice that might help a new guy get over. And it's funny that they laugh at him when 90% of the guys on SD can only dream of ever being as over or being as successful as Page was in the late 90s.
JustJoe2k5 Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 X-Pac received a standing ovation after a match in California a month or two ago and independent wrestling fans are usually very vocal against superstars that just can't cut it, so that's a pretty good sign. I wouldn't mind seeing him back in WWE, he was a decent mid-card worker in '98 and he would still be a decent mid-card worker today. Diamond Dallas Page DID carry Bill Goldberg to a decent match at Halloween Havoc, which WCW showed in full the next night on Nitro, but his voice is a little too annoying to put behind the announcer's table.

Guest Dazed Posted May 24, 2004 Report Posted May 24, 2004 Because if DDP didn't live next door to Bischoff and swap wifes with him he wouldn't have gotten anywhere like he did. And he was a horrible world champion winning it in a match were there were far better choices. Well I don't hate DDP if he wasn't living next door to Eric he wouldn't have become world champ. In that case he must suck in the ring. What a compelling argument.
