DMann2003 0 Report post Posted May 25, 2004 I just felt like posting a quick topic on one of my favorite films of all time, Robert Altman's tour-de-force "Nashville" (1975). Quick synopsis- the film has no plot- merely it chronicles 5 days following 24 assorted characters throughout the city of Nashville. From Country singers to political fundraisers, from mothers and daughters, husbands and wives, young and old. It's just a fascinating film, the kind you can let play and you feel enveloped by the characters (no doubt helped by Altman's 8-track soundtrack designed to pick up multiple conversations going on around). The songs were written by the actors and most of the film was improvised. I urge any cinema lovers to seek the film out and watch it (pick up the DVD if you can find it).
