Lord of The Curry Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 Yeah, I know, you haven't heard of it. You will soon. =http://http://www.apple.com/trailers/lions_gate/open_water/ The Toronto Star had an article on it a few weeks back and the critic who saw it said that it is one of the scariest films he'd ever seen, hands down. I definetly got a creepy vibe from that, mainly due to the filming style, but I can see the Blair Witch Comparisons being drawn (which I don't get). Either way, I'll be there when this one opens. What about YOU?
Guest Vitamin X Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 I remember seeing the trailer and being scared damn near shitless. I think the Blair Witch comparisons are drawn from the 'OH MY GOD WHAT IS THAT WHAT IS THAT???!?!!' filming style. How everything makes you feel like you're actually THERE, experiencing the terror firsthand instead of just witnessing it. If there isn't anything better that weekend (which there probably won't be) then I might check it out.
Guest Choken One Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 not to go off topic already but doesn't saying something will be a sleeper...often prevents it from being a sleeper...
edotherocket Posted June 4, 2004 Report Posted June 4, 2004 I read about it in Empire magazine and checked out the trailer. Looks pretty awesome. That said, I LOVE killer shark movies. Even Deep Blue Sea to some extent (cheesy fx and all).
