syxx2001 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 Dixie Carter was interviewed by Alex Marvez recently. In it, she says that she is confident TNA will be able to deliver a strong show with Impact! but isn't sure whether they will be able to draw ratings at their weak timeslot. Check out the interview here. - People from TNA are indicating that the guy who forced a fan to stop using his cell phone because he was giving away taping results to a wrestling website was not a direct employee of TNA and acted on his own. - Sabu is apparently not under contract to TNA yet. TNA is trying to get all their main talent under contract. Credit: PWInsider.com - Bob Carter, the head of Panda Energy (the main company behind TNA's financing) was backstage at the Impact! taping last night. It appears as if the show was the first one Bob has ever attended. His daughter, Dixie, is the one looking over TNA. Bob was said to be happy with how everything was going at the show. - Shane Douglas and Jerry Lynn worked as agents for the taping last night. The plan is for Douglas to be one of the main guys for TNA in Pittsburgh when they start running house shows there. - Terry Taylor also returned last night, helping out backstage. - Most of the wrestlers were happy with the six sided ring and many thought it added a lot to the X Division matches since it allowed the talent to be more creative and innovative. - Most of TNA management feels that the X Division is one of the main keys to the promotions success from here on out. The feeling is that the X Divison is the main attraction TNA has that WWE cannot compete with. AJ Styles will be pushed as the focus of the division. He actually asked management to put him back in the X Division and even wanted to defend the NWA Title against another X worker last night but that didn't pan out. - Marc Mero was backstage at the show. - The TNA talent loved the atmosphere at the taping last night and thought everything came off very well and "big league." Credit: PWInsider.com Now everyone stop your bitching, he asked to be put back in the X-Division. Im glad thats settled. TNA management was very happy with how the first ever Impact! taping came across yesterday. The feeling was that the matches came off well and the crowd was very much into the action. TNA was very pleased with how the crowd knew the TNA product and were very loud. The reaction to the set and production values also has been very good. The only negatives seem to be that Jerry Jarrett, the cofounder of the promotion, was unable to attend the taping due to his ongoing heart problems. He did attend the PPV on Wednesday, the first show he has been at since undergoing bypass surgery last month. The other negative is that TNA is getting a lot of backlash for their decision to force a fan not to use his cell phone because he was giving the results to a wrestling website. Obviously if TNA thinks they can keep their taping results a secret without them leaking to the 'net, they are in for a very rude awakening. SuperJerk 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 BoboBrazil's thread is also the first thing I thought of when I originally read the cell phone story. We need some verification on this.
Lightning Flik 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2004 Then if Styles is the one asked to be back in the X-Division, it might explain why the title went from him to Killings before going to Jarrett. It was either Jarrett or Styles going into the new show with the title that TNA would allow. Since Styles asked to go back to the X-Division, it only made sense (even if that sense is wrong) for Jarrett to have it.
